should be known as inseparable. Subhūti said: Venerable Śāriputra, form is separate from the nature of form. Venerable Śāriputra, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are separate from the nature of consciousness. Venerable Śāriputra, the perfection of giving is separate from the nature of the perfection of giving. Venerable Śāriputra, the perfection of morality, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom are also separate from the nature of the perfection of wisdom. Similarly, meditation, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, the mindfulness, the right abandonments, the legs of magical power, the faculties, the powers, the branches of enlightenment, the path, the perfections, the superknowledges, the letters, the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the separate correct knowledges, and the unmixed qualities of the Buddhas are separate from the nature of the unmixed qualities of the Buddhas. Venerable Śāriputra, even the limit of reality is separate from the nature of the limit of reality. Therefore, when a bodhisattva mahāsattva practices the perfection of wisdom, he fully knows reality as it is. Venerable Śāriputra, therefore, a bodhisattva mahāsattva should know that he is inseparable from the perfection of wisdom. Śāriputra said: Venerable Subhūti, what is the nature of form? What is the nature of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness? What is the nature of the individual and combined sense bases, elements, and dependent arising? What is the nature of the limit of reality? Subhūti said: Venerable Śāriputra, the nature of form is non-existence. The nature of feeling is non-existence. The nature of perception is non-existence.
