It will become so. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva thus practices the Perfection of Wisdom, and thus studies the Perfection of Wisdom, by means of non-apprehension, it will become omniscient, this is called the seventh attention, which is attention to the object of attention. Shariputra asked: Blessed One, what is it that becomes omniscient by means of non-apprehension? The Blessed One said: Shariputra, because of extreme purity, I do not apprehend or see myself. Similarly, because of extreme purity, even up to omniscience, I do not apprehend or see, this is called the eighth attention, which is attention to self and so on. Shariputra, purity is unborn, unarisen, and without manifestation of activity, this is called the ninth attention, which is attention to the aspects of purity, birth, and so on. These are the first attentions of the apprehended. The second attention of the apprehended, the nine attentions belonging to the peak. Because of unskilled means, one attends to form and manifests attachment, and attends to consciousness and manifests attachment, this is called the attention belonging to the peak, the first of which is the attention to the meaning of the aggregates. One attends to the eye and manifests attachment, similarly up to the mind, and manifests attention to form and manifests attachment, similarly up to the dharma, one attends and manifests attachment, this is called the second attention, which is the attention to the meaning of the gate of birth. One attends to the eye and form, and the realm of eye consciousness, and manifests attachment, similarly up to the mind and dharma, and between the realms of mind consciousness, one attends and manifests attachment, this is called the third attention, which is the attention to the meaning of lineage. One attends to ignorance and manifests attachment, similarly up to old age and death, one attends and manifests attachment, this is called the fourth attention, which is the attention to the meaning of birth. That is inner emptiness, and outer emptiness.

And, to speculate and cling to the emptiness of outer and inner, and the emptiness of the nature of non-entity, this is called the fifth speculation, which is to discriminate the meaning of emptiness. To speculate and cling to the six perfections, this is called the sixth speculation, which is to discriminate the meaning of the six perfections. To speculate and cling to the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, this is called the seventh speculation, which is to discriminate the path of seeing. To speculate and cling to the dhyanas, the superknowledges, the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, this is called the eighth speculation, which is to discriminate the path of cultivation. To speculate and cling to the ten powers of the Tathagata, and even to speculate and cling to the all-knowingness, this is called the ninth speculation, which is to speculate on the path of no more learning. These are the second of the apprehended discriminations. The first of the apprehending discriminations. The nine discriminations belonging to forbearance. Shariputra, I do not observe the existence of self. Likewise, I do not observe sentient beings, life, nourishment, persons, individuals, power-born, men, doers, knowers, cognizers, or seers. Why is that? Because of extreme purity, there is no self and no observation, this is called discrimination belonging to forbearance, from which, the first discrimination is the discrimination of self as having autonomy. Shariputra, I do not observe the existence of form, and even do not observe the existence of consciousness, this is called the second speculation, which is the discrimination of self as the only one. Shariputra, I do not observe the eye. Likewise, up to the mind, I do not observe form, up to dharma, this is called the third speculation, which is the discrimination of the nature of cause. Shariputra, I do not observe the eye, form, and eye consciousness. Up to mind, dharma, and mind consciousness, I do not observe, this is called the fourth
