Nor can one truly see cessation or non-cessation. Nor can one truly see solitude or non-solitude. Nor can one truly see virtue or non-virtue. Nor can one truly see fault or faultlessness. Nor can one truly see defilement or non-defilement. Nor can one truly see affliction or non-affliction. Nor can one truly see mundane or supramundane. Nor can one truly see complete affliction or purification. The feeling that arises from the condition of contact of mind and dharma, and the consciousness of mind, whether it is pleasure, or pain, or neither pleasure nor pain, all these, one cannot truly see as samsara or nirvana. This is called the forbearance of knowing suffering. Why is that? Thus, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, the Perfection of Wisdom, the Bodhisattva, and the name of the Bodhisattva, one cannot truly see in the nature of the conditioned realm or the unconditioned realm. Why is that? Subhuti, thus, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not attend to or discriminate all these dharmas. He abides in the non-discriminating dharma, cultivates the close mindfulness, and practices the Perfection of Wisdom, except for attending to the All-Knowingness itself, he cannot truly see the Perfection of Wisdom itself. The name of the Perfection of Wisdom cannot be truly seen either. The Bodhisattva cannot be truly seen either. The name of the Bodhisattva cannot be truly seen either. Similarly, the Right Exertions, the Miraculous Feet, the Faculties, the Powers,

The limbs of enlightenment and the path, and the perfections, and the powers of the Thus-gone One, and the fearlessnesses, and the individual correct knowledges, and the eighteen unmixed qualities of a Buddha, one meditates on and engages in the Perfection of Wisdom, one does not truly see the Perfection of Wisdom. One does not truly see the name of the Perfection of Wisdom. One does not truly see a Bodhisattva. One does not truly see the name of a Bodhisattva, this is called knowing suffering accordingly. Why is that? A Bodhisattva, a great being, engaging in the Perfection of Wisdom, he thoroughly understands the characteristic of the dharmas of all dharmas, whatever is the characteristic of the dharmas of all dharmas, that does not become defiled, does not become purified. Subhuti, thus a Bodhisattva, a great being, engaging in the Perfection of Wisdom, should constantly understand the dharmas that possess nominal designations, this is called the forbearance of knowing dharma in origination. Because he understands that which is designated as dharmas possessing nominal designations, he has no attachment to form, he has no attachment to feeling, he has no attachment to perception, he has no attachment to formations, he has no attachment to consciousness, he has no manifest attachment to the eye, he has no manifest attachment to form, he has no manifest attachment to eye-consciousness, he has no manifest attachment to eye-contact, he has no manifest attachment to whatever feeling arises from the condition of eye and form and eye-consciousness coming together, whether it is pleasant, painful, or neither pleasant nor painful.
