One does not truly see what is called non-emptiness. One does not truly see what is called having signs or not having signs. One does not truly see what is called birth or non-birth. One does not truly see what is called cessation or non-cessation. One does not truly see what is called secluded or non-secluded. One does not truly see what is called virtuous or non-virtuous. One does not truly see what is called having faults or being without faults. One does not truly see what is called having defilements or being without defilements. One does not truly see what is called having afflictions or being without afflictions. One does not truly see what is called worldly or beyond worldly. One does not truly see what is called completely defiled or completely purified. The feeling that arises from contact through the conditions of the tongue, taste, and tongue consciousness, whether it is pleasant, painful, or neither pleasant nor painful, one does not truly see whether that is called samsara or nirvana. Where is it that one cannot truly see? One cannot truly see what is conditioned (འདུས་བྱས་, Sanskrit: saṃskṛta, compounded, conditioned) or unconditioned (འདུས་མ་བྱས་, Sanskrit: asaṃskṛta, uncompounded, unconditioned). One cannot truly see what is birth (སྐྱེ་བ་, Sanskrit: jāti, birth) or non-birth (མི་སྐྱེད་, Sanskrit: ajāti, non-birth). One cannot truly see what is cessation (འགག་པ་, Sanskrit: nirodha, cessation) or non-cessation (མི་འགག་པ་, Sanskrit: anirodha, non-cessation). One cannot truly see what is secluded (དབེན་, Sanskrit: vivikta, secluded) or non-secluded (མི་དབེན་, Sanskrit: avivikta, non-secluded). One cannot truly see what is virtuous (དགེ་བ་, Sanskrit: kuśala, skillful, virtuous) or non-virtuous (མི་དགེ་བ་, Sanskrit: akuśala, unskillful, non-virtuous). One cannot truly see what is blameworthy (ཁ་ན་མ་ཐོ་བ་དང་བཅས་པ་, Sanskrit: sāvajja, blameworthy) or blameless (ཁ་ན་མ་ཐོ་བ་མེད་པ་, Sanskrit: anāvajja, blameless). One cannot truly see what is with outflows (ཟག་པ་དང་བཅས་པ་, Sanskrit: sāsrava, with outflows) or without outflows (ཟག་པ་མེད་པ་, Sanskrit: anāsrava, without outflows). One cannot truly see whether the feeling that arises from contact, through the condition of contact of the body and objects and the consciousness of the body, is a feeling of pleasure, a feeling of pain, or a feeling that is neither pleasure nor pain, as being saṃsāra (འཁོར་བ་, Sanskrit: saṃsāra, cyclic existence) or nirvāṇa (མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པ་, Sanskrit: nirvāṇa, nirvāṇa). One cannot truly see whether the feeling that arises from contact, through the condition of contact of the mind and phenomena and the consciousness of the mind, is a feeling of pleasure, a feeling of pain, or a feeling that is neither pleasure nor pain, as being permanent (རྟག་, Sanskrit: nitya, permanent) or impermanent (མི་རྟག་, Sanskrit: anitya, impermanent). Likewise, one cannot truly see what is happiness (བདེ་, Sanskrit: sukha, happiness) or suffering (སྡུག་བསྔལ་, Sanskrit: duḥkha, suffering). One cannot truly see what is self (བདག་, Sanskrit: ātman, self) or no-self (བདག་མེད་, Sanskrit: anātman, no-self). One cannot truly see what is peace (ཞི་, Sanskrit: śānta, peace) or non-peace (མ་ཞི་, Sanskrit: aśānta, non-peace). One cannot truly see what is empty (སྟོང་, Sanskrit: śūnya, empty) or non-empty (མི་སྟོང་, Sanskrit: aśūnya, non-empty).
