The feeling of the eye, and the feeling arising from the combination of the body, and the feeling arising from the combination of the mind, the self-nature arising from the combination with these does not exist. The self-nature arising from the combination with generosity paramita does not exist. The self-nature arising from the combination with discipline paramita, and patience paramita, and diligence paramita, and meditation paramita, and wisdom paramita does not exist. The self-nature arising from the combination with inner emptiness does not exist. The self-nature arising from the combination with outer emptiness does not exist. The self-nature arising from the combination with the right abandonments, and the miraculous feet, and the faculties, and the powers, and the limbs of enlightenment, and the eightfold noble path does not exist. The self-nature arising from the combination with the meditations, and the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, and the ten powers of the Tathagata, and the four fearlessnesses, and the four analytical knowledges, and the unshared qualities of the Buddha does not exist. The venerable Shariputra, in this way, all dharmas are the self-nature of non-things. The venerable Shariputra again, all dharmas are impermanent, not separated from anything. It is said: The venerable Subhuti, all dharmas are impermanent, not separated from anything, what are they? It is said: The venerable Shariputra, form is impermanent, not separated from anything. Feeling, and perception, and formations, and consciousness are impermanent, not separated from anything. Why is that? The venerable Shariputra, whatever is impermanent is without things and does not perish. Likewise, all dharmas are suffering, and selfless, and peaceful, and empty, and signless, and wishless, that is,

It is not because of being separated from me either. What is the reason for that? Shariputra, endowed with life, that which is without aspiration is without substance and exhausted. Shariputra, endowed with life, all dharmas are virtuous, blameless, without outflows, without afflictions, transcendent of the world, purified, and unconditioned; it is not because of being separated from anything. What is the reason for that? Shariputra, endowed with life, that which is unconditioned is without substance and exhausted. Shariputra, endowed with life, therefore, all dharmas are without inherent existence; it is not because of being separated from anything. Shariputra, endowed with life, furthermore, all dharmas are not permanently abiding, nor are they destroyed. Said: Shariputra, endowed with life, Subhuti, why are all dharmas not permanently abiding, nor are they destroyed? Subhuti said: Shariputra, endowed with life, form is not permanently abiding, nor is it destroyed; what is the reason for that? Its nature is such. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are not permanently abiding, nor are they destroyed; what is the reason for that? Its nature is such. Likewise, virtue and non-virtue, with and without fault, with and without outflows, with and without afflictions, mundane and transcendent, conditioned and unconditioned, defiled and purified dharmas, as well as samsara and nirvana, are not permanently abiding, nor are they destroyed. What is the reason for that? Because its nature is such. Shariputra, endowed with life, therefore, all dharmas are the nature of insubstantiality. Twenty-fourth fascicle. Shariputra, endowed with life, whoever says, "Why does form not manifestly exist? Why do feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness not manifestly exist?" Shariputra, endowed with life, that is so; what is the reason for that? Shariputra, endowed with life, like this, form is manifest.
