I do not fixate on the prior limit of a Bodhisattva. Because the Buddha is emptiness, tranquility, and without inherent existence, I do not fixate on the prior limit of a Bodhisattva. Because there is no Buddha, I do not fixate on the later limit of a Bodhisattva. Because the Buddha is emptiness, tranquility, and without inherent existence, I do not fixate on the later limit of a Bodhisattva. Because there is no Buddha, I do not fixate on the middle of a Bodhisattva. Because the Buddha is emptiness, tranquility, and without inherent existence, I do not fixate on the middle of a Bodhisattva. Why is that? Shariputra, endowed with life, there is no Shravaka, and emptiness, tranquility, and without inherent existence, up to all-knowingness, there is no, and emptiness, tranquility, and without inherent existence, the prior limit, the later limit, and the middle are not fixated upon. Shariputra, non-existence is not other, emptiness is not other, tranquility is not other, without inherent existence is not other, Shravaka is not other, Pratyekabuddha is not other, Bodhisattva is not other, all-knowingness is not other, the prior limit, the later limit, and the middle are not other. Shariputra, endowed with life, in this way, the non-existence of a Shravaka, and emptiness, tranquility, and without inherent existence, whatever it is, up to the non-existence of all-knowingness, and between emptiness, tranquility, and without inherent existence, and whatever a Bodhisattva is, and whatever the prior limit, the later limit, and the middle are, all of these are non-dual, they cannot be made into two. Shariputra, endowed with life, in this way, a Bodhisattva does not fixate on the prior limit. Not fixating on the later limit and the middle, this is said to be the negation of what is to be obtained. Shariputra, endowed with life, whoever says this: 'Because form is completely boundless, one should understand that a Bodhisattva is completely boundless.' Thinking, "Sentience, formations, and consciousness, such as what is called a bodhisattva, are also non-existent and invisible," is because, O venerable Shariputra, form is empty of form. Feeling, sentience, formations, and consciousness are empty of consciousness. Why is that? In emptiness, there is no form. In emptiness, there is no bodhisattva. In emptiness, there is no feeling, sentience, formations, and consciousness. In emptiness, there is no bodhisattva. O venerable Shariputra, therefore, form, such as what is called a bodhisattva, is also non-existent and invisible. Feeling, sentience, formations, and consciousness, such as what is called a bodhisattva, are also non-existent and invisible. O venerable Shariputra, furthermore, the perfection of giving is empty of the perfection of giving. Why is that? In emptiness, there is no perfection of giving. There is no bodhisattva. The perfection of ethics, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom are empty of the perfection of wisdom. Why is that? In emptiness, there is no perfection of wisdom. There is no bodhisattva. O venerable Shariputra, furthermore, inner emptiness is empty of inner emptiness. Why is that? In emptiness, there is no inner emptiness. There is no bodhisattva. Outer emptiness, inner-outer emptiness, and up to the emptiness of the nature of non-things, the emptiness of the nature of non-things is empty of the emptiness of the nature of non-things. Why is that? In emptiness, there is no emptiness of the nature of non-things. There is no bodhisattva. O venerable Shariputra, furthermore, the four mindfulnesses are empty of the four mindfulnesses. The right abandonments, the miraculous feet, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, and the eightfold noble path are the eightfold noble path.
