When a great Bodhisattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom and perfectly gives charity, with the intention endowed with all-knowingness, the perception of all phenomena as illusory abides closely. He does not fixate on the giver, nor does he fixate on the receiver, nor does he fixate on what is to be given. This is the armor of the Perfection of Wisdom of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom and perfectly gives charity. Venerable Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with the intention endowed with all-knowingness, does not make signs of those perfections and does not fixate on them, then it should be known that the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has donned the great armor of practicing the Perfection of Wisdom. This is the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva's diligence paramita of practicing the discipline paramita. Furthermore, Shariputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with the intention of possessing all-knowingness, while practicing and abiding in the discipline paramita, does not distinguish the minds of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and also makes that root of virtue common with all sentient beings, dedicating it to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. This is the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva's meditation paramita of practicing the discipline paramita. Furthermore, Shariputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with the intention of possessing all-knowingness, at the time of practicing the discipline paramita, dwells closely with the perception that all dharmas are like illusions, and does not become arrogant with that discipline, because its nature is emptiness. That discipline is also unobservable, and that root of virtue is made common with all sentient beings, dedicating it to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. This is the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva's prajna paramita of practicing the discipline paramita. Shariputra, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the discipline paramita in this way completely grasps all six paramitas. Therefore, it is called wearing great armor. This is the second of the six armors of the discipline paramita. Third, the armor of the six patience paramitas. Furthermore, Shariputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the patience paramita, and all-knowingness.
