Thus, those are extremely non-existent and unattainable. Subhuti, I do not create, do not change, do not manifest the self (Atman). Why is that? Because it is extremely unattainable. Similarly, sentient beings, life, nourishment, individuals, persons, those born of strength, those born of power, doers, feelers, knowers, seers, do not create, do not change, do not manifest. Why is that? Because all of those are extremely unattainable. Subhuti, dreams do not create, do not change, do not manifest. Why is that? Because it is extremely unattainable. Illusions, echoes, cataracts, reflections, mirages, emanations, do not create, do not change, do not manifest. Why is that? Because it is extremely unattainable. Subhuti, inner emptiness does not create, does not change, does not manifest. Subhuti, up to the emptiness of the nature of non-existent things, it does not create, does not change, does not manifest. Why is that? Because it is extremely unattainable. Subhuti, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment do not create, do not change, do not manifest. Why is that? Because it is extremely unattainable. The ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, do not create, do not change, do not manifest. Why is that? Because it is extremely unattainable. Subhuti, suchness does not create, does not change, does not manifest. Why is that? Because it is extremely unattainable. Undistorted suchness, non-other suchness, the nature of phenomena, the realm of phenomena, the abiding nature of phenomena, the determined nature of phenomena, the ultimate reality, the inconceivable realm, do not create, do not change, do not manifest. Why is that? Because it is extremely unattainable. Subhuti, enlightenment does not create, does not change, does not manifest. Why is that? Because it is extremely unattainable.

Rabjor, the state of all-knowingness is uncreated and unchanging. It does not manifestly gather. Why is that? Because it is utterly imperceptible. Rabjor, therefore, in this way, the state of all-knowingness should be understood as uncreated, unchanging, and not manifestly gathered. Those sentient beings for whose sake the Bodhisattva Mahasattva has donned great armor should also be understood as uncreated, unchanging, and not manifestly gathered. Rabjor, thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva donning great armor is said to have donned the great armor of no armor, which is called the assembly of higher seeing. The assembly of the path that joins in union. Question: Blessed One, I understand the meaning spoken by the Blessed One to be: Blessed One, form is neither bound nor liberated. Feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness are neither bound nor liberated. Then, the venerable Jangpo, son of Maitri, said this to the venerable Rabjor: Venerable Rabjor, is form neither bound nor liberated? Are feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness neither bound nor liberated? He said: Venerable Jangpo, it is just so. Venerable Jangpo, form is neither bound nor liberated. Feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness are neither bound nor liberated. Jangpo said: Venerable Rabjor, what is that form that is neither bound nor liberated? What are those feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness that are neither bound nor liberated? He said: Venerable Jangpo, the form that is like a dream, whatever exists, that is neither bound nor liberated. The feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness that are like a dream, whatever exists, that is neither bound nor liberated. Venerable Jangpo, likewise, the form that is like an illusion, like a reflection, like an optical illusion, like an image, like a mirage, like an emanation, whatever exists, that is neither bound nor liberated. The feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness that are like an emanation, whatever exists, that is neither bound nor liberated.
