is not consciousness. Apart from form, there is no emptiness. Apart from feeling, there is no emptiness. Apart from feeling, there is no emptiness. Apart from perception, there is no emptiness. Apart from formations, there is no emptiness. Apart from consciousness, there is no emptiness. Why is that? Form itself is emptiness. Feeling itself is emptiness. Perception itself is emptiness. Formations themselves are emptiness. Consciousness itself is emptiness. Emptiness itself is form. Emptiness itself is feeling. Emptiness itself is perception. Emptiness itself is formations. Emptiness itself is consciousness. Why is that? For example, the term "Bodhisattva" is just a name. For example, the term "Prajnaparamita" is just a name. For example, the terms "form," "feeling," "perception," "formations," and "consciousness" are just names. For example, form is like an illusion. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are like illusions. Illusion is also just a name; it does not exist in a place, nor does it exist in a direction. Seeing an illusion is like seeing something that is separate from Suchness. The intrinsic nature is without birth, without cessation, without defilement, and without purification. Thus, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices Prajnaparamita does not truly see birth in any dharma, nor does he truly see cessation, nor does he truly see defilement, nor does he truly see purification. Why is that? Because names are artificial constructs for individual dharmas, and those are also distinctions; names are temporary designations. All those names are not truly seen by a Bodhisattva who practices Prajnaparamita. Because they are not truly seen, they are not clung to. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, he thoroughly contemplates in this way, he thus

Moreover, the name Bodhisattva is just a name. For example, the name Bodhi is just a name. For example, the name Prajñāpāramitā is just a name. For example, the name Form is just a name. For example, the names Feeling, Perception, Formation, and Consciousness are just names. Shariputra, for example, the name I, I is just spoken in common parlance, but I am not referring to anything. It is not a sentient being, not life, not nourishment, not a person, not an individual, not born of power, and the son of power is also not referred to, because it is unreferable, it is because of emptiness. Why is that? Because, the Bodhisattva does not truly point to what will appear to be attached to. Shariputra, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices in this way is practicing in the Prajñāpāramitā. Shariputra, if this Jambudvipa were completely filled with people like the monks Shariputra and Maudgalyayana's son, for example, like a reed forest, or a rush forest, or a sugarcane forest, or a bamboo forest, or a rice field, or a sesame field, the wisdom of those people, compared to the wisdom of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practicing in the Prajñāpāramitā, practicing for only one day, is not even close to one percent. One thousandth, one hundred thousandth, one hundred thousandth of a koti, in number, in part, in calculation, in reason, and in metaphor, it is not close. Shariputra, in this way, the Bodhisattva who practices in the Prajñāpāramitā, the wisdom gained from practicing for only one day, can overwhelm the wisdom of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Why is that? Shariputra, because the wisdom of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva exists for the purpose of completely liberating all sentient beings from suffering, but the wisdom of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas is not like that. Shariputra, let alone if this Jambudvipa were completely filled with people like the monks Shariputra and Maudgalyayana's son, Shariputra, if a thousand
