One should train in the perfection of wisdom by not focusing on the terms of objects and peace and non-peace, by not focusing on the terms of emptiness and non-emptiness, by not focusing on the terms of signs and signlessness, by not focusing on the terms of aspirations and non-aspirations. This is called the patience of knowing the Dharma on the path. Subhuti, whatever you say, 'I have not truly seen that Dharma, for example, called a Bodhisattva,' Subhuti, Dharma does not truly see the Dharmadhatu of Dharma, nor does the Dharmadhatu of Dharma truly see Dharma. This is called knowing the Dharma on the path. Subhuti, the Dhatu of Form does not truly see the Dharmadhatu, nor does the Dharmadhatu truly see the Dhatu of Form. Subhuti, the Dhatu of Feeling does not truly see the Dharmadhatu, nor does the Dharmadhatu truly see the Dhatu of Feeling. Subhuti, the Dhatu of Perception does not truly see the Dharmadhatu, nor does the Dharmadhatu truly see the Dhatu of Perception. Subhuti, the Dhatu of Formations does not truly see the Dharmadhatu, nor does the Dharmadhatu truly see the Dhatu of Formations. Subhuti, the Dhatu of Consciousness does not truly see the Dharmadhatu, nor does the Dharmadhatu truly see the Dhatu of Consciousness.

The earth element does not truly perceive the earth element. The dharma element does not truly perceive the tongue element. The body element does not truly perceive the dharma element. The dharma element does not truly perceive the body element. The mind element does not truly perceive the dharma element. The dharma element does not truly perceive the mind element. This is called the forbearance of knowing the path. Subhuti, the conditioned element does not truly perceive the unconditioned element. The unconditioned element does not truly perceive the conditioned element. This is called knowing the path. These are instructions on the path of seeing. Instructions on the path of meditation. Subhuti, without the conditioned element, one cannot establish the unconditioned element. Without the unconditioned element, one cannot establish the conditioned element. Subhuti, in this way, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not truly perceive any dharma. Because he does not truly perceive, he is not alarmed, not universally afraid, not controlled by universal fear, and his mind is not discouraged by any dharma, nor does he regret it. Why is that? Subhuti, in this way, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not truly perceive form. He does not truly perceive feeling. He does not truly perceive perception. He does not truly perceive formations. He does not truly perceive consciousness. He does not truly perceive the eye. He does not truly perceive the ear. He does not truly perceive the nose. He does not truly perceive the tongue. He does not truly perceive the body. He does not truly perceive the mind. He does not truly perceive form. He does not truly perceive sound. He does not truly perceive smell. He does not truly perceive taste. He does not truly perceive touch.

Nor does one see aggregates. Nor does one see Dharma. Nor does one see the earth element. Nor does one see the water element, the fire element, the wind element, the space element, nor the consciousness element. Nor does one see ignorance. Nor does one see formations, consciousness, name, form, the six sense sources, contact, feeling, craving, grasping, existence, birth, old age, and death. Nor does one see desire. Nor does one see hatred. Nor does one see delusion. Nor does one see self. Nor does one see sentient beings, life, nourishment, individuals, persons, powerful ones, those born of power, sons of power, doers, feelers, knowers, seers. Nor does one see the desire realm. Nor does one see the form realm. Nor does one see the formless realm. Nor does one see the Hearers. Nor does one see the Solitary Realizers. Nor does one see the Bodhisattvas. Nor does one see the Dharma of the Hearers. Nor does one see the Dharma of the Solitary Realizers. Nor does one see the Dharma of the Bodhisattvas. Nor does one see the Buddhas. Nor does one see the Dharma of the Buddhas. Nor does one see enlightenment. Nor does one see the Dharma of enlightenment, up to all worldly and transworldly Dharmas. Therefore, since one does not see all these Dharmas, one does not become frightened, does not become terrified, and is not overcome by terror. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, for what reason does the mind of the Bodhisattva not become discouraged? The World Honored One replied: Subhuti, in this way, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not fixate on the mind and the Dharmas arising from the mind, nor does one see them. Subhuti, it is like that.
