I appear in the world relying on the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. What is the reason for that? Sons of good family, the Bodhisattva who practices the conduct of a Bodhisattva causes sentient beings to engage in the six perfections. They cause them to practice generosity, to perfectly uphold morality, to abide in patience, to diligently apply themselves, to abide in meditative concentration, and to perfectly engage in wisdom. Relying on the Bodhisattva, all sentient beings also practice the Perfection of Wisdom. Sons of good family, therefore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is one who has embarked for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings. Then, at that time, the Blessed One extended the power of his tongue from the door of his mouth, and with his tongue covered this three-thousand great-thousand world realm. Then, at that time, from that power of the tongue, rays of light emanated, with many colors and various hues. Having emanated, the world realm of the eastern direction, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, was pervaded by great light. Similarly, the world realm of the southern direction, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, and the west, the north, the northeast, the southeast, the southwest, the northwest, the lower direction, and the upper direction, each direction, the world realm as many as the sands of the Ganges River, was filled with great light. Then, from the eastern direction up to the upper direction, from the world realms as many as the sands of the Ganges River, immeasurable and countless Bodhisattvas, seeing that mass of light, each asked the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, in their own Buddha-fields, "By whose power is this light so clearly visible?" Those Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, then spoke to those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, saying, "Sons of good family, this is from the western direction up to the part of the upper direction, in the world realm called Saha, where the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly

The complete Buddha Shakyamuni is present and protecting. He extends the power of his tongue from his mouth, illuminating the world systems as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River from the east to the upper direction. Thus, for the sake of teaching the Prajnaparamita to the Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas, and for the sake of making it truly clear. Thus, all the world systems in the ten directions, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, are illuminated by light. Those Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas then said to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat: "Bhagavat, we also wish to go to this Saha world to see the Bhagavat Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddha Shakyamuni, and to pay homage and serve him, and also to see the Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas assembled from the ten directions, and to hear the Prajnaparamita." The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, said: "Noble sons, if you know that the time has come, then go." Then, those Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas brought flowers, incense, perfume, garlands, unguents, powders, Dharma robes, umbrellas, banners, and various jewels, gold, silver, and bouquets of flowers from the ten directions, and with many songs, music, drums, and playing, they went to where the Bhagavat Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddha Shakyamuni was. Also, the gods of Akanistha (highest form realm) took divine flowers, incense, fragrance, garlands, unguents, powders, divine utpala flowers, lotuses, kumuda lilies, pundarika lotuses, divine mandara flowers, great mandara flowers, kesara flowers, and many tamala leaves, and went to where the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha Shakyamuni was in Ganaba. Then, those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas and the gods scattered flowers, incense, fragrance, garlands, unguents, powders, clothes, umbrellas, victory banners, and divine banners to the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha Shakyamuni. They completely scattered them. Then, those flowers and so on rose up into the sky above this three-thousand great-thousand world realm, and became a square flower palace with four pillars, all parts equal, very refined, with a delightful radiance, pleasing to the mind. Then, countless billions of hundreds of thousands of beings from within that assembly rose from their seats, bared one shoulder, knelt on their right knee, and, with palms joined, bowed to where the Blessed One was, and said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, we also will obtain the dharmas with such a nature, just like the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, and we will teach the Dharma to such an assembly, just as the Blessed One teaches the Dharma." Then, the Blessed One understood the thoughts of those noble sons, and also knew that they had obtained forbearance towards all dharmas being unborn, unceasing, unconditioned, and unarisen, and then smiled. Then, rays of light with various colors emanated from the Blessed One's mouth, and those rays circled this entire world, and then gathered again and dissolved into the crown of the Blessed One's head. Then, the venerable Ananda
