It should be declared as earth. If one strives in the emptiness of consciousness, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of name and form, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of the six sense sources, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of contact, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of feeling, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of craving, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of grasping, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of existence, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of birth, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of aging, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, displeasure, and agitation, it should be declared as striving. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, if one strives in the emptiness of inner emptiness, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of outer emptiness, it should be declared as striving. If one strives in the emptiness of inner and outer emptiness, it should be declared as striving, and so on, up to striving in the emptiness of other things, it should be declared as striving. Shariputra, thus, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, if one strives in all these emptinesses, it should be declared as striving. When one strives in the Prajnaparamita with these emptinesses, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should not be declared as striving or not striving. Why is that? Thus, one does not truly see whether form is striving or not striving. One does not truly see whether feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are striving or not striving, this is the instruction on the truth of suffering. One does not truly see whether form is of the nature of arising or ceasing. One does not truly see whether feeling is of the nature of arising or ceasing. One does not truly see whether perception is of the nature of arising or
