Shariputra, if in the northeastern direction, the world realms were filled with as many monks as grains of sand in the Ganges River, all like Shariputra and Maudgalyayana, for example, like a reed thicket, or a thatch thicket, or a sugarcane forest, or a bamboo forest, or a rice field, or a sesame field, whatever wisdom those people possess would not even come close to one-hundredth of the wisdom of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practicing the Perfection of Wisdom for one day. Whether it is a reed thicket, or a bamboo grove, or a rice field, or a sesame field, even if it is completely filled, whatever wisdom they have, that wisdom is not even close to one hundredth of the wisdom of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practicing the Perfection of Wisdom for one day. Not even one thousandth, not even one hundred thousandth, not even in number, not even in part, not even in calculation, not even in cause, not even in comparison. Shariputra, if the world realms in the lower direction are filled with as many monks as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, all like Shariputra and Maudgalyayana, for example, a reed thicket, or a lotus thicket, or a sugarcane grove, or a bamboo grove, or a rice field, or a sesame field, even if it is completely filled, whatever wisdom they have, that wisdom is not even close to one hundredth of the wisdom of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practicing the Perfection of Wisdom for one day. Not even one thousandth, not even one hundred thousandth, not even in number, not even in part, not even in calculation, not even in cause, not even in comparison. Then, the venerable Shariputra said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the wisdom of a Stream-enterer, a Once-returner, a Non-returner, and an Arhat, and also the wisdom of a Pratyekabuddha, and the wisdom of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, and the wisdom of a Tathagata Arhat Perfectly Awakened One, whatever wisdom they are, all those wisdoms are without difference, solitary.
