I, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, would be pleased if I lacked a retinue of consorts. However, any Bodhisattva Mahasattva, from the moment they generate the initial mind, should engage in pure conduct, not associating with Dharma that is contrary to the Vinaya. For, if they indulge in desires and do not engage in pure conduct, it will even obstruct their birth in the Brahma world, let alone the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Therefore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should renounce and engage in pure conduct, thereby realizing unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. They should think: I should not engage in impure conduct. Thus spoke the Blessed One. The venerable Shariputra then said to the Blessed One: "What about it, Blessed One? Are Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas not inevitably troubled by fathers, mothers, attendants, sons, and daughters?" The Blessed One replied: "Shariputra, some Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas do indeed require fathers, mothers, or wives, sons, daughters, friends, relatives, and in-laws. Shariputra, some Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas, from the moment they generate the initial mind, truly engage in pure conduct, remaining youthful until they realize unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment and become Buddhas. Some Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas, through skillful means to ripen sentient beings, fully enjoy the five desirable qualities, renouncing from within a retinue of consorts, thereby realizing unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Shariputra, for example, a magician or a magician's apprentice, highly skilled in magic, manifests the five desirable qualities and enjoys the pleasure and play of those five desirable qualities. Shariputra, what do you think? Does that magician and the magician's apprentice experience the five desirable qualities

Or is there complete enjoyment? Reply: Blessed One, there is no such thing. The Blessed One said: Shariputra, likewise, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva also skillfully and completely enjoys the qualities of desire in order to fully ripen sentient beings. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva is also not stained by the qualities of desire. Why is that? Thus, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas in many ways point out the faults of desire. Desires are completely burning. Desires are extremely degraded. Desires are killing. Desires are enemies. Desires are retaliating. In many ways, the faults of desires are pointed out. Shariputra, thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva accepts these five qualities of desire in order to fully ripen sentient beings, which is said to be endowed with the Dharmakaya, like a cloud. Thus, the generation of the mind has been explained. Explanation of the pith instructions. Pith instructions for practice. After he had spoken, the venerable Shariputra said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practice the Perfection of Wisdom? After he had spoken, the Blessed One said to the venerable Shariputra: Shariputra, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, the Bodhisattva himself exists, but he does not truly see the Bodhisattva. He also does not truly see the name of the Bodhisattva. He also does not truly see Bodhi. He also does not truly see the Perfection of Wisdom. He also does not truly see the name of the Perfection of Wisdom. He also does not truly see what is called "practice." He also does not truly see what is called "non-practice." He also does not truly see what is called "practice is also practice, non-practice is also non-practice." He also does not truly see what is called "neither practice nor non-practice."

Shariputra, thus a Bodhisattva is also empty by the nature of a Bodhisattva. The name of a Bodhisattva is also empty by the name of a Bodhisattva. Why is that?
