如大海一般之忍辱。 若欲令嗔恚者喜悦于忍辱,且欲以随喜声闻及所有独觉之忍辱并具足之心生起一者而压伏,菩萨摩诃萨应学般若波罗蜜多,是名具忍辱者如大海。 如金刚一般之精进。 若欲令懈怠者喜悦于精进,且欲以随喜声闻及所有独觉之所有精进并具足之心生起一者而压伏,菩萨摩诃萨应学般若波罗蜜多,是名具精进者如金刚。 如山王一般之禅定。 若欲令心散乱者极喜悦于禅定,且欲以随喜声闻及所有独觉之所有禅定并具足之心生起一者而压伏,菩萨摩诃萨应学般若波罗蜜多,是名具禅定者如山王。 如大药一般之智慧。 若欲令众生智慧邪僻者喜悦于智慧,且欲以随喜声闻及所有独觉之所有智慧并具足之心生起一者而压伏,菩萨摩诃萨应学般若波罗蜜多,是名具智慧者如大药。 如善知识一般之方便。 仅以一个善心生起,亦以方便善巧回向一切遍知,若欲令其成为不可衡量且无数,菩萨摩诃萨应学般若波罗蜜多。如是,即使是小小的布施,也应施舍;即使是小小的戒律,也应守护;即使是小小的忍辱,也应修习;即使是小小的精进,也应发起;即使是小小的禅定,也应安住;即使是小小的智慧,也应修习,以方便善巧令一切众生

This is called having patience like a great ocean. Like a vajra of diligence. A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who wishes to delight the lazy in diligence, and who wishes to subdue with a single mind of arising that possesses rejoicing in all the diligence of all Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. This is called having diligence like a vajra. Like a mountain king of meditation. A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who wishes to greatly delight those with scattered minds in meditation, and who wishes to subdue with a single mind of arising that possesses rejoicing in all the meditation of all Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. This is called having meditation like a mountain king. Like a great medicine of wisdom. A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who wishes to delight beings with perverse wisdom in wisdom, and who wishes to subdue with a single mind of arising that possesses rejoicing in all the wisdom of all Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. This is called having wisdom like a great medicine. Like a virtuous friend of skillful means. A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who wishes to make even a single arising of a virtuous mind immeasurable and countless by skillfully dedicating it to omniscience, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. Likewise, even a small act of giving should be given; even a small precept should be kept; even a small act of patience should be cultivated; even a small act of diligence should be undertaken; even a small act of meditation should be settled; even a small act of wisdom should be cultivated, so that by skillful means all beings

Shariputra, furthermore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, wishing that even a single thought of virtue may never be exhausted until the essence of enlightenment is manifestly and perfectly awakened into enlightenment, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom.
