The one named Joyous Splendor dwells and benefits. He accurately teaches this Prajñāpāramitā to the Bodhisattvas Mahāsattvas. Then, in that world, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva named Joyous Giving dwells. Having seen that great light, the great earthquake, and the Tathāgata's body that is impossible to fully behold, he went to where the Bhagavan Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Joyous Splendor was. Having gone, he asked the Bhagavan Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Joyous Splendor this: Bhagavan, what is the cause and condition for such a great light appearing in the world, such a great earthquake, and such a Tathāgata's body? Having asked this, the Bhagavan Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Joyous Splendor said to the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Joyous Giving: Son of good family, in the direction below, after passing as many worlds as the sands of the Ganges River, there is a world called the Sahā world. There dwells the Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Shakyamuni, who benefits beings. He teaches the Prajñāpāramitā to the Bodhisattvas Mahāsattvas. This kind of thing is his power. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Joyous Giving asked the Bhagavan Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Joyous Splendor this: Bhagavan, I also want to go to that Sahā world to see the Bhagavan Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Shakyamuni, and to pay homage and make offerings to him, and to see all those Bodhisattvas Mahāsattvas, most of whom have become youthful, who have excellently attained the practice of dhāraṇīs and individual correct knowledge, and who have excellently attained mastery over all samādhis and samāpattis.

The Transcended, the Thus-Gone One, Joyful Splendor, spoke: "Son of good family, if you know that now is the time, go!" Then, the Thus-Gone One, the Foe Destroyer, the Perfectly and Completely Awakened Buddha, Joyful Splendor, bestowed upon the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Joyful Giving a thousand lotuses, born from various precious substances, appearing golden in color, and possessing a thousand petals, saying: "Son of good family, offer these lotuses to the Bhagavan, the Thus-Gone One, the Foe Destroyer, the Perfectly and Completely Awakened Buddha, Shakyamuni, and ask him thus: 'Bhagavan Joyful Splendor, does the Bhagavan not have any illness? Does he not have any heart pain? Is his rising comfortable? Is his conduct normal? Does he abide in contact with bliss?' And say: 'The Bhagavan, the Thus-Gone One, the Foe Destroyer, the Perfectly and Completely Awakened Buddha, Joyful Splendor, also offers these lotuses to the Bhagavan.' Son of good family, be mindful in that Buddha-field. Why is that? Because the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas born in that world-realm are difficult to teach, and they may fall there." Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Joyful Giving, took those lotuses appearing golden in color and possessing a thousand petals from the Bhagavan, the Thus-Gone One, the Foe Destroyer, the Perfectly and Completely Awakened Buddha, Joyful Splendor, and together with countless hundreds of thousands of kotis of Bodhisattvas in the form of householders, renunciates, boys, and girls, disappeared from that Buddha-field, and to all the Buddhas Bhagavans in the upper direction, however many there were abiding and sustaining, he performed service, veneration, respect, and offerings with flowers, incense, burning incense, garlands, ointments, powders, clothes, ornaments, umbrellas, banners, and victory banners, and by the great miraculous power of the Bodhisattva and the great power of the Bodhisattva, he went to where the Bhagavan, the Thus-Gone One, the Foe Destroyer, the Perfectly and Completely Awakened Buddha, Shakyamuni, was, and having arrived,

Having bowed to the two feet of the Blessed One, they sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Joyful Giver (dga' bas byin pa) said this to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, Joyful Splendor (dga' ba'i dpal), Blessed One, are you well? Do you have no pain? Are you rising easily? Are you walking comfortably? Are you dwelling in ease?" Thus he inquired. He also offered these lotuses, which appear golden in color and have a thousand petals, to the Blessed One, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, Joyful Splendor, for the purpose of making offerings to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, Shakyamuni Buddha, took those lotuses and scattered them towards all those worlds in the upward direction, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, wherever those Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones were. Then, those lotuses spread and pervaded all those worlds, and many bodies of the Tathagatas resided on those lotuses. In those Buddha-fields, they taught this very Dharma endowed with the Perfection of Wisdom. All those sentient beings who heard that Dharma teaching were certain to attain unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Bodhisattvas, whether householders, renunciates, or those appearing in the form of boys and girls, those who came from the Joyful Light world together with the Bodhisattva Joyful Giver, also each with their own roots of virtue, served, honored, respected, and worshiped the Blessed One, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, Shakyamuni Buddha, and having made offerings, sat down on one side. Then, in an instant, a moment, a short time, this three-thousand great thousand world system became entirely established as being of the nature of jewels, completely filled with various showers of flowers, hung with silk banners and strings of ornaments, and incense burning from various vessels.
