Having such mindfulness, thinking, "I shall teach the Dharma in order to thoroughly abandon the afflictions of all sentient beings," this is the perfection of generosity of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with mindfulness endowed with all-knowingness, engages in and arises from meditative stabilizations of dhyana, immeasurables, and formless states, without distinguishing the minds of Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, or other aspirants, this is the perfection of discipline of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, without holding to anything as supreme. When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with mindfulness endowed with all-knowingness, abides in meditative stabilizations of dhyana, immeasurables, and formless states, thinking, "I shall teach the Dharma in order to exhaust the afflictions of all sentient beings," and generates desire, forbearance, approximation, realization, and definite thought towards these mindfulnesses, this is the perfection of patience of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with mindfulness endowed with all-knowingness, engages in dhyana, immeasurables, and formless states, for the sake of the benefit and welfare of all sentient beings, and for the sake of all-knowingness, without abandoning diligence, this is the perfection of diligence of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with mindfulness endowed with all-knowingness, engages in dhyana and formless states, yet does not fixate, this is the perfection of dhyana of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with mindfulness endowed with all-knowingness, contemplates the limbs of the first dhyana, as well as the limbs of the second, third, and fourth dhyanas, with the aspects of impermanence, the aspects of suffering, the aspects of selflessness, the aspects of peace, and the aspects of emptiness,

Although thoroughly understanding the aspect of signlessness and the aspect of wishlessness, not observing the meditative stabilizations, the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, and not being conceited with them, this is the Perfection of Wisdom of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Shariputra, endowed with life, this is the Great Vehicle in which a Bodhisattva Mahasattva engages in the six perfections, which is the sphere of activity of the six perfections. Entry into the Noble Path Furthermore, Shariputra, endowed with life, the Great Vehicle of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is to meditate at all times on the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, to meditate at all times on the doors of liberation: emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, to meditate at all times on the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the unmixed qualities of a Buddha. Shariputra, endowed with life, the Great Vehicle of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is called the entry into the Noble Path. Entry into the Immeasurables Furthermore, Shariputra, endowed with life, that Bodhisattva Mahasattva, with a mind endowed with loving-kindness, vast, great, non-dual, immeasurable, without limit, without rival, without obscuration, without harm, all-pervading, having thoroughly meditated, pervades one direction of the world, filled with the expanse of Dharma, reaching the limit of space, possessing all, having pervaded and fully accomplished, abides. Thus, even up to the realms of the ten directions of the world, having pervaded and fully accomplished, abides. Likewise, with a mind endowed with compassion, endowed with joy, and endowed with equanimity, vast, great, non-dual, immeasurable, without limit, without rival, without obscuration, without harm, all-pervading, having thoroughly meditated, pervades one direction of the world, filled with the expanse of Dharma, reaching the limit of space, possessing all, having pervaded and fully accomplished, abides.

Having done and closely practiced, he abides. Shariputra, furthermore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the samadhi of loving-kindness, and is devoted to "I shall save all sentient beings." He abides in the samadhi of compassion, and is devoted to compassion and affection for sentient beings. He abides in the samadhi of joy, and is devoted to "I shall make sentient beings happy." He abides in the samadhi of equanimity, and is greatly devoted to the cessation of defilements for sentient beings. This is the perfection of generosity practiced by the Bodhisattva Mahasattva for immeasurable beings. When the Bodhisattva Mahasattva focuses on the aspects, characteristics, and signs of meditation and the immeasurable, and even when he arises, he only dedicates it to the omniscient wisdom, and does not dedicate it to the grounds of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. This is the perfection of discipline practiced by the Bodhisattva Mahasattva for immeasurable beings, without clinging to excellence. When the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices without mixing meditation, the immeasurable, and the formless attainments, and does not generate desire for the two grounds—the ground of Hearers or the ground of Solitary Buddhas—but rather endures and desires the omniscient wisdom, this is the perfection of patience practiced by the Bodhisattva Mahasattva for immeasurable beings. When the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, with the mind of possessing all-knowing wisdom, completely abandons non-virtuous dharmas, and does not give up diligence for the sake of accomplishing perfect virtuous dharmas, this practice is the perfection of diligence practiced by the Bodhisattva Mahasattva for immeasurable beings. When the Bodhisattva Mahasattva also abides in meditation, the immeasurable, and the formless attainments, and is not born by the power of meditation, the immeasurable, and the formless attainments,
