The Bodhisattva Mahasattva, not with the attention associated with Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but with the attention endowed with all-knowingness, engages in the Paramita of Patience and abides closely with the perception of all Dharmas as illusions. He does not become arrogant with that patience, and does not fixate on patience. This is the Prajna Paramita of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva engaging in the Paramita of Patience. Venerable Shariputra, The Bodhisattva Mahasattva, thus engaging in the Paramita of Patience, fully grasps all six Paramitas. Therefore, it is called donning great armor. This is the third of the six armors of the Paramita of Patience. Fourth, the six armors of the Paramita of Diligence. Venerable Shariputra, furthermore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva engages in the Paramita of Diligence, not with the attention associated with Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but with the attention endowed with all-knowingness, completely gives alms, and shares that root of virtue with all sentient beings, dedicating it to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. This is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva engaging in the Paramita of Diligence, which is the Paramita of Generosity. Venerable Shariputra, furthermore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva engages in the Paramita of Diligence, not with the attention associated with Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but with the attention endowed with all-knowingness, upholds morality, and shares that root of virtue with all sentient beings, dedicating it to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.

Practicing the perfection of diligence, enduring, believing, and contemplating those dharmas in this way, this is the patience of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing the perfection of diligence. Furthermore, Shariputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not practice the perfection of diligence with the intention associated with Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, but with the intention associated with the knowledge of all aspects, and does not abandon diligence for the benefit of all sentient beings, and does not regress. This is the perfection of diligence of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing the perfection of diligence. Furthermore, Shariputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not practice with the intention associated with Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, but with the intention associated with the knowledge of all aspects, making the mind one-pointed. This is the perfection of concentration of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing the perfection of diligence. Furthermore, Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the perfection of diligence, when cultivating the perfection of wisdom, not with the intention associated with Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, but with the intention associated with the knowledge of all aspects, the perception that all dharmas are like illusions is present, and does not become arrogant with that diligence, nor does he fixate on that diligence, and that root of virtue is shared with all sentient beings, and dedicated to unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. This is the perfection of wisdom of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing the perfection of diligence. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the perfection of diligence in this way completely upholds all six perfections, therefore it is called donning great armor, this is the fourth of the six armors of the perfection of diligence. Fifth, the perfection of meditation.
