The seven factors of enlightenment, as well as the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and even the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, are they also without outflows and without containment because of their intrinsic emptiness? Even all-knowingness, is it also without outflows and without containment because of its intrinsic emptiness? Subhuti said: Venerable Shariputra, it is just as you said. Form is also without outflows and without containment because of its intrinsic emptiness. Feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness are also without outflows and without containment because of their intrinsic emptiness. Even the unshared qualities of a Buddha are without outflows and without containment because of their intrinsic emptiness. He said: Venerable Subhuti, you have said that because there is no mind, there is no attachment to that mind. Venerable Subhuti, is there no attachment of form to the absence of form? Is there no attachment of feeling to the absence of feeling? Is there no attachment of perception to the absence of perception? Is there no attachment of mental formations to the absence of mental formations? Is there no attachment of consciousness to the absence of consciousness? Even the factors of enlightenment, is there no attachment to the absence of the factors of enlightenment? Even the unshared qualities of a Buddha, is there no attachment to the absence of the unshared qualities of a Buddha? Even all-knowingness, is there no attachment to the absence of all-knowingness? He said: Venerable Shariputra, it is just as you said. Venerable Shariputra, there is no attachment of form to the absence of form. Feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness also have no attachment to consciousness. Similarly, the elements, the sources, dependent origination, the individual arising and the aggregates, the dhyanas, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, and consciousness also have no attachment to the absence of consciousness. And, supernormal knowledge, aspects of enlightenment, powers, fearlessness, individual perfect knowledge, and the unmixed qualities of the Buddha, etc., there is no attachment to the non-existence of the unmixed qualities of the Buddha, etc. Shariputra, the noble son! When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva thus practices the Perfection of Wisdom, with the unequal and equal mind of the Bodhicitta, all the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and the mind that is not common to them, also in the manner of not focusing on all dharmas, there is no becoming arrogant, there is no becoming manifestly attached. Therefore, it is called Bodhisattva Mahasattva, this is great enlightenment. These are taught for the purpose of practice. The practice of armor. First, the armor of the six perfections of generosity. Then, the venerable Maitreya's son, Gangpo, said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, for what reason is a Bodhisattva Mahasattva called, and I also rejoice in that. The Blessed One said: Gangpo, you should rejoice. Gangpo said: Blessed One, that is a sentient being who has put on great armor. Blessed One, that is a sentient being who has truly entered the Great Vehicle. That is a sentient being who truly abides in the Great Vehicle. Therefore, he is called a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Then, the venerable Shariputra said to the venerable Maitreya's son, Gangpo, said: Venerable Gangpo, by what measure is it said that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva has put on great armor? Gangpo said: Venerable Shariputra, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva acts for the sake of enlightenment, he does not abide in the perfection of generosity and completely give for the benefit of a few sentient beings, but abides in the perfection of generosity and completely gives for the benefit of all sentient beings. Similarly, when acting for the sake of enlightenment, he does not abide in the perfection of discipline for the benefit of a few sentient beings, and in the perfection of patience, and in diligence.

And dwell in the perfection of diligence, and the perfection of concentration, and the perfection of wisdom, and not just meditate on the perfection of wisdom, but for the sake of all sentient beings, dwell in the perfection of wisdom and meditate on the perfection of wisdom. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva thinks: I shall cause such a number of sentient beings to be completely pacified in the realm of nirvana without remainder. Or (thinks): I shall not cause such a number of sentient beings to be completely pacified. Or (thinks): I shall place such a number of sentient beings in enlightenment. Or (thinks): I shall not place such a number of sentient beings in enlightenment. Like this, with the thought of completely cutting off sentient beings, one does not wear armor. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva wears great armor for the benefit of all sentient beings. He thinks like this: I shall also perfect the perfection of generosity. I shall also establish these sentient beings in the perfection of generosity. I shall also perfect the perfection of morality, and the perfection of patience, and the perfection of diligence, and the perfection of concentration, and the perfection of wisdom. I shall also establish all sentient beings in the perfection of wisdom. Similarly, I shall also meditate on the dharmas of enlightenment, and concentration, and the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions. I shall also establish others in these. I shall also abide in the ten powers of the Tathagata, and the four fearlessnesses, and the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha. I shall also establish all sentient beings in the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha. Thus, he generates the mind. Venerable Shariputra, just this much, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is called wearing great armor, this is the nature of accomplishment. Fourteenth fascicle. Venerable Shariputra, furthermore, when the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices in the perfection of wisdom, whatever generosity is completely given away, those are endowed with all-knowingness.
