Emptiness in between the placements of mindfulness, the placements of mindfulness are not empty; the placements of mindfulness themselves are emptiness; emptiness itself is the placements of mindfulness. Likewise, the right abandonments, the legs of magical power, the faculties, and the powers are also the same. Emptiness in between the Buddha's unmixed qualities, the Buddha's unmixed qualities are not empty; the Buddha's unmixed qualities themselves are emptiness; emptiness itself is the Buddha's unmixed qualities. Subhuti, this is the perfection of wisdom of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva; a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who thus practices the perfection of wisdom will not be afraid, will not be utterly afraid, will not be associated with utter fear. This is called the first kind of holding, being held by skillful means. The second kind of holding: being held by a virtuous friend. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, who are the virtuous friends of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who, when held by whom, after hearing this perfection of wisdom being taught, will not be frightened, will not be utterly afraid, and will not be associated with utter fear? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, here, the virtuous friend of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is one who teaches the Dharma in a way that does not fixate on the term "form is impermanent," and does not allow all those roots of virtue to be directed towards the Hearer's level or the Solitary Buddha's level, except for omniscience. And one who teaches the Dharma in a way that does not fixate on the term "feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are impermanent," and does not allow all those roots of virtue to be directed towards the Hearer's level or the Solitary Buddha's level, except for omniscience. Subhuti, this should be recognized as the virtuous friend of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Furthermore, Subhuti, the virtuous friend of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is one who teaches the Dharma in a way that does not fixate on the term "form is suffering," and form
