Explained by Sapa and others. The path of contemplating the basis is also stated in the Sutra: "Thus, having distinguished the Samadhi of the Lion's Leap, one enters into the Samadhi of Sudden Transcendence," and so on. The clinging to be abandoned by the Path of Seeing has two aspects. The first is the clinging to the existence of a person as a substance, which is stated at the beginning of the sixty-third chapter of the Sutra: "Subhuti, for example, the orb of the sun and the orb of the moon illuminate the four continents, and move and revolve in harmony with the four continents," and so on. This is also divided into nine. The first is clinging as if to a conventional illusion, and liberation is also stated in the Sutra: Below it says: "Asked: O Bhagavan, which Dharma of the Perfection of Wisdom has not been grasped or abandoned? The Buddha replied: Subhuti, the Perfection of Wisdom does not grasp or abandon form," and so on. The second is to pay attention without truly paying attention, which is also stated in the Sutra: Asked: O Bhagavan, how is it that form has not been grasped or abandoned? The Buddha replied: Subhuti, that which does not pay attention to form, and does not pay attention to it until enlightenment, is not paying attention to form, and so on. The third is that the three realms of Dharma-nature are all closely connected, which is also stated in the Sutra: Asked: O Bhagavan, why is it that if one pays attention to form in this way, and does not pay attention to it until enlightenment, one will attain omniscience? And so on. The fourth is abiding without abiding in emptiness, which is also stated in the Sutra: Asked: O Bhagavan, where does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva not abide when practicing the Perfection of Wisdom in this way? And so on. The fifth is clinging to all Dharmas without clinging to things, which is also stated in the Sutra: Asked: O Bhagavan, why does one not abide in form, and not abide until enlightenment? And so on. The sixth is that all Dharmas are imputed because there is no substance, which is also stated in the Sutra: Why is that? Because one does not truly see the Dharma to which one should cling or abide, and so it is stated. The seventh,

The non-attachment that you know, and the attachment that is preceded by manifest attachment, it is also said in the sutra: Subhuti, therefore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita in a way that is without attachment. Eighth, the antidote to cultivating equanimity is also the antidote to the antidote, it is also said in the sutra: Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva thinks in this way, that such practice is the cultivation of Prajnaparamita. And so on. Ninth, because of not correctly understanding the Prajnaparamita, there are obstacles to acting as one pleases, it is also said in the sutra: If one manifests attachment to a Dharma that is not completely upheld in this way, then the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is separated from the Prajnaparamita. And so on. The second distinction of attachment is the attachment to the Pudgala, the first of the nine aspects, the Hearers and others strive for liberation, but in reality do not truly attain liberation, it is also said in the sutra: Is form permanent or impermanent? Is it happiness or suffering? Is it self or non-self? Is it peaceful or not peaceful? Is it empty or not empty? Is it solitary or not solitary? There is no manifest attachment to this. And so on. Second, because there is no path that one manifestly desires, one clings to other paths as non-paths, it is also said in the sutra: Subhuti, for example, a charioteer rides in a chariot with four horses, traveling on a level road. The following explains this. Third, the cause and effect of arising and ceasing with the nature of conventional truth, it is also said in the sutra: Therefore, if the Prajnaparamita that abides in the Dharma is taken as the standard, then no Dharma arises or ceases. And so on. Fourth, because of the uninterrupted and singular appearance, all things both possess and do not possess, it is also said in the sutra: Question: Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva strive in the six perfections? The Blessed One replied: Subhuti, here, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should think in this way, that form is neither possessing nor not possessing. And so on. Fifth, like a bird dwelling in the sky, dwelling in form and so on.
