The following is explained starting with the phrase "How will they become the refuge of beings?" Thus, this seventy-third section reveals all dharmas and is combined with the activity of realizing all aspects of knowledge. The sutra says, "Subhuti, how will the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, having fully awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, become the refuge of beings?" and so on. The Hundred Thousand Verse says, "Refuge is the path." The seventy-fourth is the spontaneous accomplishment of the benefit of beings, and the seventy-fifth is the non-manifestation of the fruit of definite arising from the three vehicles. The sutra also says, "Why is that? Subhuti, all dharmas are of the nature of emptiness, because they do not transcend that nature," and so on. The first five and the last two, a total of seven, are combined with knowing the aspects of the path. The nature to be known by the characteristic of action is the nature of all-knowingness, four; the nature of path-knowingness, five; and the nature of all-aspect-knowingness, seven, are added sequentially to the previous numbers. The seventy-sixth section is the nature of being separated from afflictions such as desire, and the sutra also says, "From the beginning of the forty-seventh chapter, Subhuti asked," and so on, until "they will become of the nature of being separated by eliminating ignorance." The seventy-seventh section is its sign, the solitude of the bad states of the body, and the sutra also says, "Subhuti, they will become of the nature of being separated from the signs of desire," and so on. The seventy-eighth section is its characteristic, being separated from inappropriate attention, and the sutra also says, "Subhuti, they will become of the nature of being separated from the characteristics of desire," and so on. The seventy-ninth section is the realization that incompatible things such as desire and non-desire, and their antidotes, are empty, and the sutra also says, "Subhuti asked, 'Bhagavan, what kind of conduct will those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who will realize this profound Prajnaparamita have?'" and so on.
