Furthermore, how does the Prajñāpāramitā generate the Tathāgata, and is the world empty? The Blessed One taught through scriptures such as, "Subhuti, this Prajñāpāramitā declares that the world is empty." Forty-third, knowing the world to be emptiness, the scriptures also say, "Subhuti, the Tathāgata also knows the world to be emptiness," and so on. Forty-fourth, declaring the world to be emptiness, the scriptures also say, "Subhuti, this Prajñāpāramitā declares to the Tathāgata that the world is empty," and so on. Forty-fifth, declaring the world to be inconceivable, the scriptures also say, "Subhuti, this Prajñāpāramitā declares to the Tathāgata that the world is inconceivable," and so on. Forty-sixth, declaring peace, the scriptures also say, "Subhuti, this Prajñāpāramitā declares to the Tathāgata that the world is called peace," and so on. Forty-seventh, preventing the world, the scriptures also say, "Subhuti, this Prajñāpāramitā only declares to the Tathāgata that the world is emptiness," and so on. Forty-eighth, preventing attention, the scriptures also say, "Subhuti, how does this Prajñāpāramitā make this world without attention?" and so on. Under the definition of knowledge, relative to the Śrāvakas and others knowing the path of the Four Noble Truths, the Bodhisattva's knowing the path is shown to be more excellent. Sixteen kinds of excellent characteristics appear, combined with numbers as before. Subhuti asked, "Blessed One, this Prajñāpāramitā is abiding closely by the great deeds of the Blessed One," until the brief teaching was given between "abiding by inequality and equality."
