How could one attain it here? How could there not be realization? If there is no realization, is there no forbearance in accordance with those who have the perception of the non-existence of things? This is what is taught from the beginning. Gradual. The gradual progression of the six perfections. When this was said, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, relying on the four dhyanas and five supernormal cognitions, were to fully awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment in the very nature of the non-existence of all things," beginning with this, the perfections and the six recollections, etc., are gradually realized in a non-objective manner. Therefore, regarding the perfection of generosity, it is also stated in the sutra: "When one trains in the perfection of generosity, one should oneself give gifts, encourage others to give gifts, and also speak of the virtues of generosity. When others give gifts, one should also speak of their virtues and rejoice. By becoming accustomed to generosity, one will obtain a great accumulation of enjoyment." This is what is taught from the beginning. Regarding morality, it is also stated in the sutra: "Subhuti, furthermore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, from the moment of generating the first thought, should himself practice the perfection of morality and also cause others to truly uphold the perfection of morality," and so on. Regarding the perfection of patience, it is also stated in the sutra: "Subhuti, furthermore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, from the moment of generating the first thought, should himself practice the perfection of patience and also cause others to truly uphold the perfection of patience," and so on. Regarding diligence, it is also stated in the sutra: "Subhuti, furthermore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should himself be diligent in virtuous dharmas and also cause others to truly uphold virtuous dharmas," and so on. Regarding meditation, it is also stated in the sutra: "Subhuti, furthermore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should himself enter into meditation and the immeasurable etc., and the formless attainments.
