It is taught from "is" downwards. Purity has also been accomplished, so there are three causes for the arising of the path of meditation: pleasing the Buddha, perfecting the pāramitās, and being skilled in śamatha and vipaśyanā. There are four causes for not arising: being harmed by demons, not believing in the profound Dharma, clinging to things, and associating with evil friends. Purity. The general teaching of purity, as well as the special purity of the Śrāvakas, the purity of the Pratyekabuddhas, the purity of the Bodhisattvas, and the purity of the Buddhas, are taught. The cause of the arising of the purity of the path of meditation is pleasing the Buddha. Also the words of the sūtra. From the beginning of the thirty-fifth chapter, "Then, the venerable Śāriputra said to the Blessed One," and so on. Perfecting the pāramitās is also the word of the sūtra. That is, in order to generate the first mind, practicing the pāramitā of giving, etc., is taught. Being skilled in śamatha and vipaśyanā is also the word of the sūtra. Śāriputra, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, that which is without characteristics, without duality, etc., is taught. The four causes of not arising, such as being harmed by demons, etc., are the words of the sūtra. Subhūti, those foolish people hinder this profound Prajñāpāramitā in four ways, etc., is taught. In general, purity is also the word of the sūtra. Subhūti, whatever is the purity of form is the purity of fruit, etc., is taught. Subhūti, because it is the knowledge of the aspect of the path, etc., is taught. Specifically, from that time on, the purity of the pāramitā of giving, the purity of the pāramitā of morality, etc., are taught. The purity of the Buddha is extremely pure, so it is also said at the end of the thirty-sixth chapter, "Then, the venerable Śāriputra said to the Blessed One," and so on. The others are taught implicitly. All-knowing. Not abiding in the extremes of existence and peace. Knowing the aspect of the path, if there is no all-knowing, then there is no knowing the aspect of the path, so in general, the third all-knowing, which is taught in eight ways, is explained in nine meanings.

The path of seeing of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers. Among these, not abiding in existence and peace with wisdom and compassion is also a phrase from the sutra. Being distant for a long time in terms of results. Being distant by non-skillful means is also a phrase from the sutra. This is shown below. The antidote. The uncommon is also a phrase from the sutra. Then, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, said to Venerable Subhuti: "Venerable Subhuti, by what characteristics do Bodhisattva Mahasattvas become attached?" Saying this, this is shown below. The union. The antidote is a phrase from the sutra. Kausika, moreover, wanting to explain to others for the sake of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, this is shown below. Thinking of the Tathagata and others is also a subtle attachment, therefore it is an uncommon aspect. And how to abandon it, the nature of reality, the profound nature, and the difficulty of realization, this is shown. Subtle attachment is also a phrase from the sutra. Then, the Bhagavan said to Venerable Subhuti: "Subhuti, you have shown those boundaries of attachment to the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, very good, very good!" This is shown below. How to abandon it is also a phrase from the sutra. The Bhagavan explained: "Subhuti, in this way, the Dharma is not of two natures, but is of one taste." This is shown below. It is taught from "Those who are not endowed, the Prajñāpāramitā is difficult to realize" onwards. How difficult it is to realize is also the words of the sutra. Subhuti requested: "Bhagavan, the Prajñāpāramitā is inconceivable." Having stated such incompatible aspects, etc., the yoga of meditating on them is from the beginning of the thirty-seventh chapter. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, the Prajñāpāramitā is a great deed." From "Bhagavan, may I prostrate to the Prajñāpāramitā," ten kinds of yoga are taught. These ten kinds of yoga are: the yoga of not focusing on all phenomena such as form; the impermanence and emptiness of these phenomena themselves, etc.; not being completely perfect; perfection itself; being without attachment; not changing into something else; the absence of an agent; doing for the sake of the three aspects of omniscience; yoga and actions being difficult; obtaining the fruit as it should be; the emptiness of the eye; and not focusing on not going by other conditions. Among them, the yoga of not focusing on all phenomena such as form is the words of the sutra. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, the Prajñāpāramitā is without action." It is taught from this onwards. The impermanence, etc., of these phenomena themselves are also the words of the sutra. If
