Therefore, it is so. The so-called possessing immeasurable qualities means that by this, one later attains the all-knowingness, which is possessing immeasurable qualities, because it cannot be measured as such, hence it is the all-knowingness. Thus, as it is said. Subhuti, why is that? Because of this, one obtains wisdom that transcends boundaries and is without end, and obtains wisdom that cannot be comprehended, and it is not taken away by the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. The Blessed One, because of his direct realization of it, spoke after recollecting it. Among them, the boundless is because the aspects are boundless. The endless is because it is not all objects. Therefore, it is so because of the direct realization of individual correct knowledge, one cannot exhaust the world with gods. The Blessed One, because of the power of knowledge, although the Blessed One shows this aspect of non-retrogression, it is said that he intends to make it enter the authority of the path of cultivation because it becomes an extremely excessive answer. This sutra is summarized by five verses that extensively explain the meaning, namely, the cessation of form and other perceptions, the steadfast mind turning away from inferior vehicles, the complete exhaustion of the limbs of altered meditative states, the lightness of body and mind, skillfulness in enjoying desires, constant practice of pure conduct, purity of livelihood, completeness without interruption, retinues and those with retinues, warfare, stinginess, etc., the separate prohibition of places of union and subsequent union, the non-perception of dharma even as a speck of dust, certainty in one's own ground, dwelling in the three grounds, sacrificing life for the sake of dharma, such sixteen moments are the signs of non-retrogression in the stage of the path of seeing for the wise. The detailed explanation of the nature of the non-retrogressing Bodhisattva is complete. After showing the nature of the Bodhisattva who does not regress in the stage of the path of seeing, now it speaks of those who dwell on the path of cultivation.

Therefore, the nature of non-retrogression should be declared. "The path of meditation is profound," which means: Please, Bhagavan, explain well the profound place, which is said through repeated practice in order to understand meditation. What is the dwelling place called the Great Bodhisattva? It is taught that it is dwelling in the path of constant meditation. From the four mindfulnesses to the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha, it is completely perfected, which is taught in order to understand that the path of meditation is the cause of the complete perfection of the Buddha's dharma. Furthermore, how is the path of meditation profound? "Profound emptiness, etc.," which means that emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, non-action, non-birth, detachment, cessation, nirvana, peace, suchness, and ultimate reality are all profound places, which is what is to be taught. Furthermore, why are emptiness, etc., called profound? "Profound is that which is liberated from the path of superimposition and denial," which means that the suchness of form, which is also formless, and that there is no form apart from the suchness of form, etc., are profound, so it is taught that all dharmas are profound. How to abandon superimposition? It is taught that it is not from form, and there is no form in suchness. How to abandon denial? Nirvana is taught. Because there is no suchness apart from form. It is taught that nirvana is the abandonment of all dharmas. Furthermore, what is the path of meditation like? "Thinking again and again, measuring and ascertaining are the path of meditation," which is taught as: When is it in accordance with these profound places, in terms of the meaning of repeated teachings, thinking means the wisdom of hearing. Measuring is the nature of thinking. Ascertaining is the wisdom of the nature of meditation. Furthermore, what is the object of the path of meditation?
