Know that this is about wisdom and merit, as well as what are the path and the ten grounds, and the order of practicing the accumulation of antidotes. Thus it is said. Among them, there are sixteen types of accumulation of merit, as follows: the accumulation of great compassion, the accumulation of generosity, the accumulation of discipline, the accumulation of patience, the accumulation of diligence, the accumulation of meditation, the accumulation of wisdom, the accumulation of tranquility, the accumulation of insight, the accumulation of the path of union, the accumulation of skillful means, the accumulation of wisdom, the accumulation of merit, the accumulation of the path, the accumulation of the ground, and the accumulation of antidotes. Among them, the accumulation of great compassion refers to, from the perspective of explaining the meaning of the phrase "putting on great armor", in terms of the practice of accumulation, in each of the ten directions, with sentient beings as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, the hells, the birthplaces of animals, and the sentient beings of the world of Yama, illuminating them with the light of their own bodies, in order to pacify those sufferings, hearing the prostrations to the Buddhas and so on. With this virtue, may they be liberated from those evil destinies, and until enlightenment, by fully holding the lineage that pleases and conforms to the Buddhas, it is shown that it is done with compassion that is free from suffering. The accumulation of generosity refers to, with the accumulation of generosity, to such sentient beings, giving food and other necessities that they desire, and teaching the Dharma, it is shown that until enlightenment, it will never be separated from teaching the Dharma of the six perfections. The accumulation of discipline refers to, to such sentient beings, from the path of the ten virtuous actions, and meditation and so on, until the unmixed Buddhadharma, for the sake of enlightenment, teaching the Dharma, it is shown that this is the arrangement. The accumulation of patience refers to, to all such sentient beings, even if they beat me with sticks, clods of earth, and fists, I will not generate even a little bit of anger towards them. It is shown that one should be very happy with one's own and others' patience.
