Those who protect all and completely do not abandon, and who therefore do not become arrogant, should act with a mind of benefit and happiness. Whatever is a mind without distinction, and whatever is desired and greatly rejoiced in for that mind, this is delight in the Dharma. Whatever is made the name of its meditation, this is called delight in the Dharma, that is, delight in the Dharma itself, and possessing the yoga of delight in the Dharma, abiding from inner emptiness to the nature of non-things, and from the limbs of enlightenment to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, abiding from the vajra-like samadhi to the samadhi of being liberated and unstained by being unattached like the sky, and distinguishing with the supreme union of not focusing on anything at all, having shown the greatness of the nature of the mind of enlightenment, having taken control of the power of the nature of great abandonment. Again, starting from the fact that the venerable Shariputra generated courage, the views of self, sentient beings, persons, etc., as well as the views of annihilation, permanence, existence, non-existence, and the views of aggregates, etc., up to the views of the unshared qualities of the Buddha, in order to abandon the views of maturing sentient beings, purifying Buddha-fields, realizing enlightenment, and turning the wheel of Dharma, teaching the Dharma in a non-referential manner, this is the teaching. Skillful means combine the non-referential with the referential. As it is said, by showing that the collection of views is the cause of non-arising, the meaning is distinguished by the skillful means of non-reference just mentioned. Having shown the nature of great abandonment, having taken control of the power of the nature of great realization. Again, starting from the fact that the venerable Subhuti generated courage, the mind of enlightenment is non-equal and equal, the unshared mind, non-attachment itself. Why is that? Because that mind is without mind, not including the uncontaminated, liberated from birth, etc., is non-equal and equal, is shown as an unshared characteristic, as it is said in the sutra: Venerable Shari

Furthermore, sons of good family, from the initial arising of the mind of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva up to the point of actualizing it, they do not truly see the arising or ceasing of any dharma. Thus, it is said that the unequal and equal mind of a Bodhisattva, and the mind that is not common to all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, are spoken of in this way. Among these, from the initial arising of the mind up to actualizing it, they do not truly see the arising or ceasing of any imputed dharma. This refers to the stage of heat, where the arising and ceasing in the preceding and following stages are not observed. "Without increase and without decrease" refers to the peak stage, where the exhaustion and differentiation of the preceding and following stages are not observed. "Without coming and without going" refers to the stage of patience, where the nearness and distance of the dharmas to be realized are not observed. "Neither defiled nor purified" refers to the supreme worldly dharma stage, where all unfavorable and counteracting factors are observed. Where one does not truly see defilement and purification is the path of seeing. By reversing the order, the path of seeing is clearly shown, in order to manifest what is seen. Among these, "There is no mind of a Shravaka, there is no mind of a Pratyekabuddha" clearly shows the inequality and equality of the arising of the mind. It is said: "Venerable Subhuti, there is no attachment to form," and so on, up to the point where, through the actualization of emptiness of inherent existence, there is no attachment to any dharma. Such a commitment is for the purpose of knowing the object to be realized. "Venerable Subhuti, there is no attachment to formlessness, nor is there attachment to form," and so on, up to the point where, among the unmixed Buddha-dharmas, there is no attachment to the unmixed Buddha-dharmas. Such a commitment, and the prevention of arrogance arising in that mind, is to prevent attachment to realization through non-referential yoga. That itself is the great realization.
