From what is called... because of manifest attachment to the Buddha's teachings, and because of manifest attachment, clinging to the two extremes, it is not truly existent, therefore it is designated as Dharma. The conceptualization of all afflictions and not being completely purified is because of believing in these, so it is said that forms, all afflictions, and not being completely purified will definitely not arise from the desire realm, etc. Its sutra is: Therefore, not knowing or seeing form, feeling, thought, until becoming among children, that is the desire realm, etc. The conceptualization that does not abide in the noble path is because of not believing in the emptiness of form, etc., as a precursor, not abiding in generosity, etc., the perfections, until not abiding in the unmixed dharmas. As it is said in the sutra: Not believing that form is empty of form, until not believing that enlightenment is empty of enlightenment, therefore not abiding in the Prajnaparamita, etc. This is the first of the apprehended conceptualizations. Because of not being skilled in means, for the perfections, the immeasurables, meditation, and the formless absorptions, from what is called up to the unmixed dharmas, conceiving and manifestly clinging to omniscience, starting from... through the yoga of non-appearance, omniscience will definitely arise, it is explained up to... This is the second of the apprehended conceptualizations. Its sutra is: Shariputra, Bodhisattvas, because of not being skilled in means, conceive and manifestly cling to the Prajnaparamita, etc. The basis of all things is the first, and the basis of completely purified things is the second, such a difference is the difference between the two apprehended conceptualizations. If it is done like that, then the first apprehended conceptualization and the second apprehended conceptualization are also the same, because the previous explanation shows it like that, so for the time being, what is the first is also the second. For example, the conceptualization of all things as a basis, the first will actually become the second. The second is not the first.

That is, for example, the second apprehending conceptualization that relies solely on complete purification is not the first. Taking as the main subject the conceptualization that holds onto the object of a person who substantially exists, starting from "that yoga of non-apprehension," up to "the aggregates," and between "whether an illusory person will definitely realize all-knowingness through the yoga of non-apprehension of emptiness," and between "the aggregates," and "the fearlessnesses," and "all-knowingness," and "illusion showing that the essence of illusion is mutually one taste," illusion is prevented from being afflicted, purified, born, and ceasing. Therefore, between "those perfections," and "non-contamination," and "will definitely realize all-knowingness and will attain all-knowingness?" it is said that the definite emergence is prevented. This is the first apprehending conceptualization. The second apprehending conceptualization, taking as the main subject the object of a person who is nominally existent, shows that a bodhisattva is nominally established on the aggregates of appropriation. Its sutra is: Subhuti, what do you think? Is that which is conceived, fully known, nominally established, and designated as a bodhisattva, like this, the five aggregates of appropriation? He replied: Bhagavan, it is not so. And so on. Similarly, other sutras and treatises should also be combined. I have not quoted anywhere in order to avoid the fault of having too many texts. Through the door of the arising and ceasing of the aggregates and so on, whatever it may be, by practicing with the aim of definitely realizing all-knowingness, by entering into that definite realization, an illusory person should also train in that way, it should be known that it is necessary to hold on to it. Likewise, Bhagavan, we should understand that those five aggregates are illusory persons, and the aggregates such as form are like dreams, images, optical illusions, moons in water, mirages, and emanations.
