Thus it is said, which is to extensively show the three vehicles to be practiced. The distinction of upholding is skillful means and the characteristics of a virtuous friend, which will be explained later. This is temporarily the smaller one that has become warm. Starting from the aggregates, elements, sense bases, and dependent origination, up to being free from afflictions, and even to being solitary. Because things cease, it is peaceful. Because of its unproduced nature, it is unborn. Because of the infinity of the other shore, it is without arising because it is difficult to realize. All noble beings are first endowed with it, and because it is free from causes, it is without universal contamination. Because there are no sentient beings as objects of focus, there is no purification. Because it becomes the cause of noble dharmas, it is the realm of dharma. Because there is no change, it is suchness. Because it reaches the ultimate end of reversal, it is the true limit. Because all noble beings have not made it, it is the abiding of the dharma. From all Buddhas to the suchness of all dharmas, and because of gathering, establishing, non-perception, and non-seeing, and because all names are non-existent, therefore abiding, there is no abiding and separation, this is the middle. Among them, gathering is birth, which is imperceptible. Establishing is cessation, which is also not truly seen, this is another meaning, the two sentences of non-perception and not truly seeing, are in order, practicing the aspect of non-perception, especially with faith and attention, and explained according to the freedom of seeing that nature. In order, the two sentences of non-perception, not truly seeing, saying that abiding in that is a similar stream. Abiding and separation are dissimilar streams. Like the imputation of dharmas such as aggregates, like dreams, sounds, images, and emanations, because there is nothing good or anything else that can be said, even to not thinking, not being afraid, etc., is the nature of all-knowingness.

The statement "it will arise as a feeling" indicates the greatness. If it corresponds to the part of liberation, what is the difference? The term "warmth" refers to the categories of small, medium, and large? Or, for the distinctions of individuals with dull faculties, etc., the differences in the object of focus, etc., should also be understood. If the peak, etc., also become excessive, there is no fault, as it is accepted. Whatever belongs to warmth, in the sixteen aspects of the four truths that are spoken of, warmth refers to being focused on the four truths and possessing the sixteen aspects. From warmth arises the peak, and those also become like that, etc. How is that? Is it like a measure and a pavilion having the same characteristics? Or is this merely the way of entering? Warmth has been explained. Similarly, from the warmth that gradually increases from small, medium, and large, etc., the peaks arise, because they are the peaks of moving virtuous dharmas, so they are the peaks themselves. The complete holding and cause of those should be understood as the difference as before. The peaks, as they are, and the superior aspects of patience and worldly dharmas, should also be explained in terms of the differences in object and aspect. Among them, the difference of the peak, first, the difference of the object, is not abiding in all dharmas. When a Bodhisattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, starting from "not abiding in form," the place of attachment to the aggregates, elements, sense bases, limbs of dependent origination, earth element, etc., is prohibited. Abiding in that is born from the mind that abides in permanence, focusing on objects. The opposite of this should be understood as non-abiding. This needs to be examined. If, for the time being, not abiding in what does not exist, then because it does not exist, it is not suitable as an antidote. But if it is not abiding in what exists, then it is too extreme. It should be viewed in the same way as how the manner of explaining the absence of manifest clinging is explained. All dharmas, emptiness by nature, are the difference of aspect. Why is that?

Those are empty of their own nature. As it is said in the sutra: 'Because form is empty by its own nature of form' and so on. Therefore, this abandons the place of clinging to permanence. Phenomena and their emptiness are the difference of aspects, and what is the reason for that? Because it is shown that those and their emptiness are considered to be of one nature with each other. As it is said in the sutra: 'Bhagavan, form itself is emptiness, and emptiness is also form' and so on. Therefore, this abandons the place of clinging to annihilation. The distinction of focusing without dwelling on the aspects of the truths such as suffering is that it is shown that dwelling on the aggregates such as form, individually 'is suffering' and so on, up to 'is peace' is prohibited. The aspects such as suffering are that emptiness is the difference of aspects, and what is the reason for that? Because the aggregates such as form, the aspects of those such as suffering, are by nature emptiness, the aspects such as suffering and their emptiness are of one nature with each other, which is the difference of aspects, and what is the reason for that? Because it is said that suffering and so on and its emptiness are considered to be of one nature with each other. Here also, suffering itself is pervaded by emptiness, so they are of one nature with each other, but suffering does not pervade emptiness, because that is the common characteristic of all phenomena. This should be understood for the time being as the difference of focus and aspect made in terms of the truths of suffering and origin. What is made in terms of the truth of cessation is that the difference of focusing on suchness and so on without dwelling is shown as: 'Thus, combine thusness and suchness, the nature of phenomena, the realm of phenomena, the nature of phenomena without fault, the true limit, all the doors of dharani.' As it is said in the sutra: 'When a Bodhisattva practices in the Perfection of Wisdom, he should not abide in suchness' and so on. Suchness and so on.
