It should be known that this is the eighth ground. Moreover, it is shown by the power of the forbearance of cessation, as it is said in the sutra: 'Well done! Well done! Son of good family! This is the forbearance of the ultimate truth, and you will attain the Buddha's teachings.' This is the meaning of what was said. The sutra shows that the Dharma-knowledge is obtained on cessation: After perfecting the direct knowledge, one worships all the Buddhas, is born there, and listens to the Dharma taught by them. This sutra says: 'After perfecting the direct knowledge, he also goes from Buddha-field to Buddha-field and attends to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat.' etc. The sutra shows that the subsequent knowledge of forbearance is obtained on cessation: The aggregates, elements, sense-bases, six elements, and the individual limbs of dependent origination are not the combination of a Bodhisattva, nor are they other than them. The Bodhisattva does not come from them, nor is there a Bodhisattva in them. The nature of them is not a Bodhisattva.' This is to prevent them from being the nature of the Bodhisattva, and to want to refute them by another method. This sutra says: 'Subhuti, what do you think? What is called a Bodhisattva, do you think that form is a Bodhisattva? Or do you think that something other than form is a Bodhisattva? Do you think that a Bodhisattva has form? Or do you think that there is a Bodhisattva in form? Do you think that formlessness is a Bodhisattva?' etc. The sutra shows that the subsequent knowledge is obtained on cessation: Thus, those aggregates, etc., are neither individual nor combined. The suchness of them is not a Bodhisattva, nor is anything other than them a Bodhisattva, nor is it in them. The nature of them is not a Bodhisattva. Holding on to the extremely imperceptible sentient beings, and thinking that the suchness of them is the nature of the Bodhisattva, after preventing it, one intends to refute it by another method. This sutra says: 'Subhuti, what do you think? What is the suchness of form, do you think that is a Bodhisattva?'

Do you think that there is a Bodhisattva other than the suchness of form? Do you think that a Bodhisattva exists in the suchness of form? Do you think that a Bodhisattva possesses the suchness of form? Do you think that the suchness of formlessness is a Bodhisattva? All that is said is like this. Among them, showing the forbearance of knowing the Dharma on the path is because it is extremely difficult to ascertain the false names of permanence, impermanence, happiness, suffering, etc., of the aggregates such as form, and even the false names of having desire and not having desire, so the nature of the Bodhisattva is prevented. The sutra here is: "Subhuti, what do you think? Is the so-called Bodhisattva a false name for the permanence of form? Similarly, are the impermanence of form, the happiness of form, the suffering of form, the self of form, the non-self of form, the tranquility of form, and the non-tranquility of form, false names for the Bodhisattva?" etc. Among them, showing knowing the Dharma on the path is to prevent seeing one realm of Dharma in another. The sutra here is: "Subhuti, the Dharma cannot truly see the realm of Dharma, nor can the realm of Dharma truly see the Dharma." Among them, showing the subsequent knowledge of forbearance on the path is like this, between the realm of form and the realm of Dharma, the realm of feeling and the realm of Dharma, etc., and even the realm of consciousness and the realm of Dharma, and even the realm of mind and the realm of Dharma. The sutra here is: "Subhuti, the realm of form cannot truly see the realm of Dharma, nor can the realm of Dharma truly see the realm of form." etc. Among them, showing the subsequent knowledge on the path is to prevent the conditioned realm and the unconditioned realm from seeing each other, one seeing the other. The sutra here is: "Subhuti, the conditioned realm cannot truly see the unconditioned realm, the unconditioned realm

The statement "The realm of conditioned things does not truly see the realm of conditioned things" reveals the wisdom of equality, as the object and subject are equal. The teaching from the perspective of the path of meditation is that conditioned and unconditioned things cannot be designated as different from each other, because all phenomena are unobtainable, so there is no fear. The sutra says: "Subhuti, the unconditioned cannot be designated as different from the conditioned. Also, the conditioned cannot be designated as different from the unconditioned." Thus, bodhisattvas are not afraid because they do not truly perceive all phenomena. It is said, "Not afraid in any way," and so on. Here, the conditioned is the path, and the unconditioned is abandonment. Since these two cannot be designated as different from each other, the establishment of the path of meditation is nominal and not the nature of direct perception that leads to seeing things as they are, because there is no difference from things. This is what is being shown. By doing so, the aspect of unobtainability, which is what the Perfection of Wisdom accomplishes, and its object, the Four Noble Truths, and its basis, the Three Jewels, and especially the cause of going, non-attachment, and the cause of going without turning back, complete non-weariness, and the cause of not being led by other vehicles, complete adherence to the path, and the cause of going without relying on others, the five eyes, and the cause of perfecting omniscience, the six superknowledges, and the cause of ultimate accomplishment, the paths of seeing and meditation, all of these should be understood as being taught in the context of instruction. Therefore, this is the instruction on the Perfection of Wisdom to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, and this is the subsequent teaching. The explanation of the key instructions and subsequent teachings from the Ornament of Clear Realization, the treatise on the key instructions of the Perfection of Wisdom, is complete. An explanation that accords with the aspect of ascertainment. An explanation that accords with the aspect of ascertainment.
