What is said, such as "exertion is called exertion," and so on, is what is said. From the perspective of the truth of origination, the arising, cessation, defilement, purification, and the true combination of phenomena with each other are all prevented. The sutra here says: If one does not truly see that form is of the nature of arising or of the nature of ceasing, one does not truly see that form is of the nature of defilement or of the nature of purification, one does not truly see that form is the true combination of feeling, and so on. These emptinesses prevent its own nature. The sutra here says: Shariputra, whatever is the emptiness of form, that is not form, and so on. These emptinesses and each other's essence are one. The sutra here says: Shariputra, in this way, form is not other, and emptiness is not other, form itself is emptiness, emptiness is form, and so on. Therefore, this avoids the two extremes of superimposition and denigration. From the perspective of the truth of cessation, by preventing the arising, cessation, defilement, purification, decrease, increase, and the three times of emptiness, it shows that the combination of those aggregates and so on, and the noble truths and so on, which are practiced in the direction of entering and returning, is completely prevented. The sutra says: Shariputra, whatever is emptiness, that is not born, does not cease, does not become defiled, is not purified, does not decrease, does not increase, that is not past, is not future, is not present. Whatever is similar, there is no form, no feeling, and so on, up to ignorance is not born, ignorance does not cease, and so on, up to stream-enterer is not, the fruit of stream-enterer is not, and so on, up to Buddha is not, enlightenment is not, and so on. From the perspective of the truth of the path, the perfections, the aggregates, the elements, the sense bases, and dependent origination

And the branches of dependent arising, the aspects of enlightenment, the truths, individual perfect knowledge, the superknowledges, the powers, the fearlessnesses, the unmixed qualities of the Buddha, whether they are connected to or not connected to all-knowingness, because one does not subsequently focus on them. As it is said in the sutra: "As he practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not see himself as having or not having the Perfection of Generosity." And so on, and because emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness prevent the action of combining with emptiness and so on. Therefore, that sutra says: "When he practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not combine emptiness with emptiness. He does not separate with emptiness. He does not gather or separate signlessness with signlessness. He does not gather or create wishlessness with wishlessness." And so on, as it is said. This clearly shows that the truth of the path is non-conceptual in nature. The combination and separation of the aggregates of form and so on with the prior extreme is greatly prohibited. The sutra says: "Shariputra, the form of a Bodhisattva does not combine or separate with the prior extreme. Thus, he does not even see that prior extreme itself." And so on, as it is said. The combination and prohibition of times with each other. The sutra says: "He does not combine or separate the later extreme with the prior extreme. Having taken hold of the equality of the three times," and so on, as it is said. The prohibition of combining each time with all-knowingness. The sutra says: "All-knowingness does not combine or separate with the past. Thus, he does not even see that past itself." And so on, as it is said. Thus, the nature of the definite arising of the path is clearly shown. This is the instruction on the truth. What is the instruction on refuge? It should be known that it is taking refuge in the Three Jewels. Buddha Jewel.

Speaking from the perspective of "I," it is the prohibition of combining the aggregates, elements, sense bases, limbs of dependent origination, aspects of enlightenment, individual correct knowledge, supernormal powers, strengths, fearlessness, unmixed qualities of the Buddha, etc., with the Buddha and all-knowingness. In this sutra, it says that when one practices the Perfection of Wisdom, one should not combine form with all-knowingness, because even form itself cannot be truly seen. Thus, whatever is said, "should not be combined with the Buddha and all-knowingness." It is the prohibition of combining all-knowingness with the Buddha. The sutra says that one should not combine all-knowingness with the Buddha, because even the Buddha himself cannot be truly seen. The Buddha and all-knowingness, enlightenment and all-knowingness, are considered to be of the same essence. The sutra says, "Why is that? Because the Buddha is all-knowingness, and all-knowingness is also the Buddha. Enlightenment is all-knowingness, and all-knowingness is also enlightenment." Speaking from the perspective of the Dharma Jewel, it is the prohibition of combining the aggregates of form, etc., with non-reality. Thus, and so on. As it is said in the sutra, "When one practices the Perfection of Wisdom, one should not combine form with reality. One should not combine form with non-reality." Thus, and so on. Because the Dharma is free from attachment, in order to show the meaning of being free from attachment in all aspects, it is said, "A Bodhisattva should not practice the Perfection of Wisdom for the sake of the Perfection of Giving," and so on. It is the teaching of removing worldly afflictions. The sutra says, "By practicing in this way, how many worldly afflictions will be removed." Here, worldly afflictions refer to ignorance and views.
