Ground and sign, incompatible factors and antidotes, serenity and difficulty and certainty, purpose and non-apprehension, and the prevention of attachment to appearances, and what is called the object of focus, incompatibility without obstruction, without basis, without going, without arising, suchness is non-apprehension, sixteen self-natures, like illustrating with four characteristics, therefore it is accepted as four characteristic natures. Thus it is taught. How is it the nature of sixteen self-natures? The nature of serenity from afflictions is that which eliminates desire, hatred, and delusion, and thus becomes the nature of serenity, thus it is taught. The sign of that, the nature of serenity, is that the signs of desire, hatred, and delusion, etc., are the nature of serenity, thus it is taught. Its characteristic is the nature of serenity, thus it is taught. Among them, the sign is the evil destinies of the body, etc. The characteristic is improper attention. The nature of serenity with incompatible factors and antidotal factors is that, like desire and non-desire, hatred and non-hatred, delusion and non-delusion, with the nature of serenity, it becomes the nature of omniscience, and especially for those who have faith, the path of meditation is established, thus it is taught. The nature of difficulty is that all phenomena are utterly non-existent, and because there is no connection with them, all sentient beings should be completely liberated from suffering, thus donning armor is the practice of difficulty, and the cultivation of Prajnaparamita is difficult in meaning, thus it is taught. The nature of single certainty is that donning armor for that is the ground of the Shravakas, etc., because there is no place to fall. Certain cultivation is the meaning of teaching, thus it is taught. The nature of purpose is that the great Bodhisattva dons armor for the purpose of all sentient beings attaining the wisdom of omniscience, and should know that it is not confused with other purposes, thus it is taught. The nature of non-apprehension is that the Bhagavan.

Venerable One, this Prajñāpāramitā is extremely profound. Since no one can meditate on it, the meditator, the one who meditates, and the object of meditation, starting from what is called "meditating in this way" and up to the state of all-knowingness, the meditation of meditation is unattainable. Therefore, Venerable One, like this, meditating on the profound Prajñāpāramitā is meditating on the state of all-knowingness, as it is taught. The nature of preventing attachment is: Whatever, Subhuti, a great Bodhisattva who is irreversible should thoroughly examine this profound Prajñāpāramitā, starting from examining the Prajñāpāramitā without manifest attachment. When this is taught, it is the very meditation of the path of knowledge with fearlessness, fearlessness, and so on, as it is taught. The nature of the object is: Whatever, Venerable One, how does a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva contemplate the Prajñāpāramitā with the thought of being inclined towards the state of all-knowingness?
