The very act of grasping is superior in the form of emptiness, because it has been shown that the nature of completely grasping those very things has been blocked. The sutra for this is: "Bhagavan, whatever form has not been completely grasped, that is not form, taking emptiness of its own nature as proximate," and so on. Among these, abandonment is because the realm of phenomena is vast. Not making it seven is because of entering previously with objects and aspects. The very state of being immeasurable is the state of being all-knowing. Certainty is because of being utterly certain. Not being in common with all, such as the Hearers, is as it is said: "It is superior by object, aspect, cause, and complete grasping," as it has been shown. How all phenomena have not been completely grasped is shown subsequently. In the very state of being all-knowing, taking emptiness of all phenomena as proximate, because there is no complete grasping, it is said. The sutra for this is: "Bhagavan, that also does not completely grasp in the very state of being all-knowing, taking emptiness from inner emptiness up to the emptiness of the nature of non-things as proximate," and it is said, "That is called signless." Samadhi is one-pointedness of mind, and that is also a mandala, because it gathers together other samadhis. By this, for the time being, it shows that the peak has become smaller. As it is said, the very state of being all-knowing is said to be signless, thus, a sign is an affliction. Why is a sign called an affliction? The sign between the aggregates, such as form, and the aspects of enlightenment, and the doors of form, is itself an affliction. The sutra for this is: "Form is signless. Feeling is signless," and so on, up to the doors of retention are said to be signs, they are afflictions. Its characteristic is to be known as the characteristic of untrue superimposition. How are these signs determined to be afflictions of a Bodhisattva? By realizing that the sign of the wandering sect is the antidote to afflictions, as it is said, that is the witness, as it is said.

Now, the sutra says that if one clings to characteristics, then the wandering sectarian teachings will not gain faith. Taking the wandering sectarians as an example, although they are associated with non-Buddhists, they stand up and, solely through the power of realization, make that meaning manifest, which is understandable. If someone asks whether the characteristics of the wisdom of realization will be temporarily unobscured, the answer is: the inner and so on obstruct the vision of wisdom, which is the third obscuration. This sutra says: "That wisdom is not truly seen within, nor is that wisdom truly seen outside or apart from the outer and inner, etc." From then on, not completely clinging to any dharma, one draws near to non-characteristic attention. Again, why is it that all dharmas are not completely clung to? The answer is: not clinging to all dharmas is the Perfection of Wisdom. As it is said: "This is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Perfection of Wisdom, drawing near to not clinging to all dharmas." Therefore, this shows the middle. By what? From what? By what? These are interrogative words. Any dharma that is nonexistent and unobservable is the Perfection of Wisdom, closely contemplated, because the order is reversed, so the perfections are all nonexistent and unobservable. Similarly, the aggregates such as form, etc., because of the three omniscient ones and emptiness, and because there is nothing to be taken and nothing to be observed, likewise, after closely examining, the mind does not shrink, does not fear, etc., and not abandoning, it should be known as the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Perfection of Wisdom, those show the great. This sutra says: "Bhagavan, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, one should not closely examine, what is the Perfection of Wisdom itself? What is the Perfection of Wisdom itself? Whose is this Perfection of Wisdom? From where does this Perfection of Wisdom come? This Perfection of Wisdom

It is said that "I am" and so on. After showing the peak of realization, patience should be spoken of, starting from "showing the cause of constant union", each of the aggregates such as form is separate from the nature of the aggregates such as form. Similarly, from the realms and sources, etc., up to the unmixed, being separate from their own nature, because they are the nature of suchness, etc. Therefore, for the time being, patience is superior as a special object by the very nature of all dharmas being without self-nature, as stated in the sutra: Shariputra, endowed with life, form is separate from the nature of form, etc. The aggregates such as form, etc., and suchness, etc., each being without self-nature, this shows that all dharmas are superior in appearance by the very nature of being without self-nature, as stated in the sutra: Shariputra, endowed with life, the nature of form is without substance, from Shariputra, endowed with life, because of those names, thus form is separate from the nature of form, etc. Each of them is separate from the nature of characteristics. Self-nature is also separate from self-nature. This explains that the nature of characteristics and the characteristics of self-nature are superior in appearance and special because they are mutually without self-nature, as stated in the sutra: Shariputra, endowed with life, the nature of characteristics is also separate from characteristics, etc. The characteristics of self-nature are also separate from self-nature. Thus, learning is to show that it will surely become the cause of attaining all aspects, so obtaining patience corresponding to small patience is small patience. In order to show the middle, why is it certain to become all-knowing, being asked, that is, Shariputra, endowed with life, this is because all dharmas are unborn and uncreated, from the aggregates, realms, sources, etc., are also empty of self-nature.
