When the evil demon approaches and tries to thwart faith, the All-Knowing One is like the sky, the essence of non-entity. Starting from "emptiness of self-nature," because there is no perceiver, perception, and object of perception, when the reversal that accords with the Dharma occurs, he understands it, and with the vow-bound action of being steadfast, unshakeable, and unseizable, he does not deviate from the meaning of the special purpose. This is what is taught. Among them, the mind is steadfast because it is always cherished. Unshakeable because it is manifest. Unseizable because it is not the domain of others. For the forbearance of the subsequent knowledge of suffering, whatever the purity of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, and whatever the All-Knowing One is, for the sake of reversal and entry, the Bodhisattva who does not rely on both reversal and non-reversal, this is what is taught. What is the reversal from entering the truth, and what is the entry from not entering the truth, these are combined here as reversal and non-reversal. It is not just reversal, nor just entry. For the three moments, because it is related to subsequent knowledge, it is impossible to fall into the realm of Hearers and so on, because this is because the antidote to the three realms has been obtained. For the subsequent knowledge of suffering, it is the Bodhisattva who abides in abandoning the exhaustion of limbs, gradually abiding in the nine successive absorptions, and the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and the samadhi of the three doors of liberation. Because he does not obtain its fruit, for the sake of exhausting the limbs, in order to fully grasp the nature of things that are in accordance with sentient beings, it is called exhausting the limbs, meaning abiding in abandoning whatever limb of meditation or absorption there is. For example, the first dhyana has five limbs, and so on, by mentioning the subsequent knowledge of exhausting the limbs, it is in order to understand that it is the antidote to the form and formless realms.
