Ma. Inwardly, contemplating the formless, one can see blue, yellow, red, and white, resulting in eight kinds of transformations. The term "that which is blue" is an instructive word. The term "color blue" is for the sake of apprehending the co-emergent blue. The term "appearing blue" is for the sake of apprehending the blue that arises from combination. The term "hue blue" is for the sake of apprehending the light radiating from both of them. The term "overpowering" is because of having attained mastery. The term "having overpowered" is the path of tranquility. The term "having overpowered and seeing" is the path of insight. Thus contemplating, the term "contemplating" is because there is no conceited pride in contemplating both overpowering and not overpowering. Among the two examples, one is co-emergent, and the second is to show that it arises from combined colors. For example, the term "like" is a concluding remark showing that flowers and cloths are blue. The term "color blue" is with the flower as the object, because its blue is co-emergent. The term "appearing blue" is with the cloth as the object, because its blue arises from combination. The term "seeing hue blue" is with both the flower and the cloth as the object, because both appear as hue. Compared to such examples, it is more reasonable to say that a flower as perfect as the Omaka, and a cloth as blue as that of Varanasi, color blue, and so on, are appropriate. Yellow is the flower of Karnika, red is the flower of Bandhujivaka, white is the perfect light of starlight, and the term cloth is because it is under the power of the object of overpowering. It is the source of overpowering. What is without affliction? It refers to the concentration of a yogi who abides in meditation, does not cause afflictions to arise in others, and abides in guarding, along with the wisdom that corresponds to it, and the mind and mental factors that exist in the continuum of others.

Since the enemy of afflictions is not generated, it is without afflictions. Among them, the difference between the Arhats and the Buddha's absence of afflictions is as follows: As it is said, the Arhats are gods without afflictions, and people can completely abandon human afflictions. The cities of the Buddhas and so on are those that cut off the stream of afflictions and are without afflictions. This is how it is explained. Like this, if the Arhats see sentient beings in cities and so on and generate afflictions, they think it is not right and want to completely abandon human afflictions. But they do not observe them. The Buddhas, the Bhagavadatas, think that they should not become the cause of afflictions by taking themselves as the object, and they very much want to observe them. After observing, they uproot the cause of afflictions from the root. What is it to know after making a wish? Abiding in meditation, wishing to know this, through the power of the wish, obtaining it as before, thereby knowing the three times, or for whatever one wants to know, wishing in the mind to know it. After entering into Samadhi, emerging from it, that wish will be fulfilled, and that object of knowledge will also be known. Among them, the difference between the Arhats and the Buddha's knowledge of the place of wishes is as follows: As it is said, the Buddha's knowledge of the place of wishes is spontaneously accomplished and abandons habitual tendencies, is unobstructed and constantly abides, and is willing to answer all questions. This is how it is explained. Among them, spontaneously accomplished means entering naturally on its own. Abandoning habitual tendencies means not interrupting. Unobstructed means entering into all objects of knowledge. Constantly abiding means abiding in constant equanimity. Willing to answer all questions means being willing to answer all that is asked. From the perspective of the Arhats, it should be known that it is the opposite of this. What are the six superknowledges? Superknowledge of the realm of magical powers, the divine eye, the divine ear, knowing the minds of others, remembering past lives, and superknowledge obtained through the exhaustion of defilements. The explanation of these is just as it is said in the "Explanation of the Distinctions of Instructions." The four individual correct knowledges are the individual dharma
