Because the ground is perfectly pure, there is no blurred vision and it is completely pure; because he possesses disciples who are complete in discipline, his waist is round; because he has thoroughly purified the faults of samsara, his waist is extended; because he has destroyed the arrogance of pride, his waist is not bent; because he is able to completely prevent the exhaustion of the Dharma, his body is upright; because he manifests the profound Dharma, his navel is deep; because he possesses harmonious disciples, his navel spirals to the right; because he possesses a gathering of disciples who are beautiful in every way, everything is beautiful; because his mind is supremely pure, all his actions are pure; because he is free from teaching black Dharma and discipline, there are no moles or blemishes on his body; because he teaches the Dharma that causes one to obtain a body as light as cotton, his hands are as soft as cotton; because he has treated his own caste and the many ordinary people equally, thereby attaining the state of a great ascetic, the lines on his hands are radiant; because it is extremely deep and firmly established, the lines on his hands are deep; because he teaches the Dharma that can endure great things, the lines on his hands are long; because he upholds the basis of training that is not extremely profound, his face is not too long; because he shows all the worlds as if they were reflections, the reflection of an image appears on his face; because he subdues by first being gentle, his tongue is soft; because he possesses a collection of subtle qualities, his tongue is thin; because he subdues children who are attached with a Dharma that is difficult to fathom, his tongue is red; because he is not arrogant towards the roar of an elephant and the thunder of a dragon, he possesses the sound and rhythm of an elephant and a dragon; because it is pleasant, soft, and gentle, he possesses disciples who are skilled in speech, therefore his voice is pleasant, soft, and gentle; because he has restrained actions in all existences, his teeth are round; because he is skilled in subduing with sharp individuals, his teeth are sharp; because the Dharma and discipline are supremely white, his teeth are white; because he has entered into the equality of the earth element, his teeth are even; because he teaches the gradual realization of enlightenment, his teeth gradually become thinner; because he dwells on the high mountain of wisdom, his nose is high; because the beings to be tamed are pure and have faith, his nose is pure; because he possesses the supremely vast Dharma of the Buddha

Because the eyes are wide and the assembly of sentient beings has been accumulated, the eyelashes are thick; like the young of gods, asuras, and humans, the eyes are clear with black and white, possessing the appearance of blooming lotus petals, and praised by the supreme ones, therefore the eyes are clear with black and white, like blooming lotus petals; because constantly showing vastness, the eyebrows are long; because skilled in subduing with gentleness, the eyebrows are soft; because completely knowing all faults, the hairs of the eyebrows are even; because the roots of virtue are close to being moistened, and thus able to subdue beings whose continuums have become moistened, the eyebrows are moist; because possessing supremely abundant and long hands, the hands are abundant and long; because completely victorious from the battlefield of afflictions, the ears are even; because acting to subdue the continuums of sentient beings that have not deteriorated, the sensory faculty of hearing has not deteriorated; because completely abandoning all things to be seen, the forehead is well-opened; because completely vanquishing ascetics, brahmins, and opposing adversaries, the forehead is broad; because completely perfecting the supreme aspiration, the supreme parts of the limbs are extremely abundant; because averting the joy of bees towards objects, the hair is as black as bees; because abandoning the latent tendencies to be abandoned through seeing and meditation, the hair is thick; because manifestly knowing the essence of what is taught with gentle intelligence, the hair is soft; because possessing a mind that is constantly undisturbed, the hair is not tangled; because possessing speech that is constantly not coarse, the hair does not fall out; because the fragrant flowers of the limbs of enlightenment bring beings into harmony, the hair is fragrant; the palms of the hands and soles of the feet are adorned with swastikas, auspicious marks, and coiled endless knots. To summarize the prose of the sutras, here are the verses in the form of a summary: The nails of the Buddha are copper-colored, the color is lustrous and high, the fingers are round and full, the joints are slender, the veins are invisible, and there are no knots. The ankles are invisible, the feet are even, walking like a lion, elephant, bird, and the best of cattle, proceeding to the right, with beautiful and upright gait, and graceful posture. The body is clean, soft, and pure, complete with all the marks and signs, and the form of the body is vast and excellent.
