Indeed! If asked how to prevent the basis of its faculties? Because it is said there: 'In that, lineage and life force, the mind's continuum is the basis.' Therefore (it is said). Preventing the place of the faculties, the town, is also like that. In that, the place of the mind is all phenomena. Manifestly clinging to self is present everywhere, so preventing it is also reasonable. The forbearance of knowing the Dharma on the path is practicing the six perfections, and abiding with actions such as stinginess and following them, this is the meaning of prevention. Forbearance is the unobstructed path, therefore it is the cause of being free from afflictions, this is the meaning to be known. All phenomena abide in emptiness, and by desiring the Dharma, following the aspiration for virtuous Dharma, this is the meaning to be known. In the realm of Dharma, acting, and by declaring all phenomena as disbelief, because there is no conditioned and unconditioned in the Dharma of attainment and result, therefore it is the meaning of knowing to abandon and take in order. In the presence of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, by desiring spiritual friends, this is the meaning of knowing the cause of obtaining an extremely special state. And exhorting, introducing, and establishing vehicles such as the Hearers to enter the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and if one desires to obtain the collection of differences in realization, then knowing that the Buddha appears manifestly, arises and is able to freely arise, this is all that is said. Knowing the Dharma on the path, taking the example of entering the stream, because even the slightest Dharma is not recollected, therefore abiding from inner emptiness to the gate of desireless liberation, this is being without doubt in one's own ground, and because it is the path of liberation, therefore it is the cause of obtaining freedom from knowledge, this is the meaning to be known. Abiding on the irreversible ground is purifying the Buddha-field, maturing sentient beings, knowing the works of demons, destroying, and obtaining the meaning of acting away with thinness. Taking the example of a person who commits uninterrupted actions, abiding in the right path, and not discriminating, the irreversible mind is with the gods.

The world cannot be turned back. Why is that? Because it transcends the world with gods and enters without fault, knowing the Dharma on the path is the antidote to the three realms; having attained the abhijñās, in order to behold the Buddhas, etc., going from Buddha-field to Buddha-field, constantly manifesting excellent qualities; skillfully applying the works of Māra to the edge of reality, so there is no timidity in one's own territory; because knowing that the union is not a guide and is pure, one knows the meaning of non-retrogression. Why is that? Because in this way, there is no timidity at the edge of reality, and at the edge of reality, one does not truly see one or two, even if birth is exhausted, the mind of a Śrāvaka, etc., will not arise, because there is no certainty that the union will necessarily occur in another vehicle, so one knows the meaning of being uniquely certain. Why is that? Because all dharmas are empty of their own nature, so one does not see arising or ceasing, etc., and it is taught with the reason of knowing that one is turning away from the ground of Śrāvakas, etc. The kṣānti of subsequent knowledge of the path is the meaning of knowing that one is not separated from the manifestation of enlightenment with the certainty of attainment that 'I will manifest complete enlightenment in unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment.' Why is that? Because unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment is empty of its own nature. To abide in this way is to abide in that ground without relying on others. The so-called 'there is no trampling on one's own ground,' one should know that one's own ground is the three omniscient ones in order. Why is that? Because abiding in this way is possessing indestructible wisdom. Furthermore, separation and obtaining separation, and the unshared nature of all-aspects-knowing, are taught in the three grounds, which is another way of speaking. May you attain Arhatship right here! You are unsurpassed.

Has not been predicted to perfect complete enlightenment. If someone says that you will be predicted, but you have not yet obtained forbearance of the law of non-birth, hearing such words that thwart the intentions of the demons, the great bodhisattva's mind does not become discouraged or afraid, etc., this is a sign of being predicted. Abiding in this is because only a moment of discriminating dharma remains, so one will fall or become special. Why is that? Because it has been said that one possesses the reason-dharma for being predicted. Entering without fault is the reason for prediction. Following knowledge on the path, again the demon says: What will you do with unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment? These sutras that you practice are spoken by demons. Discriminatingly saying: Alas! This is a demon, realizing this, one knows that one has obtained the benefit of having manifest enlightenment, and in order to uphold the supreme Dharma of emptiness of all dharmas taught by the perfect Buddha, one even abandons oneself and one's life. Saying both of these is to know the meaning of abandoning one side and the entirety of the self. All the Buddhas and I think this is the meaning, seeing this meaning and obtaining liberation is to know the opportunity to equally uphold the supreme Dharma. Also, by obtaining the dharani of holding the scriptures, one can hold what the Buddha has said, not waste it, and with its excellence, one can know the meaning of manifesting virtues. Also, just by the cause of obtaining dharani, one can act with the means of maturing all beings by obtaining certainty about the languages and expressions of the Shravakas and gods, etc. Possessing great virtues. Possessing immeasurable virtues. Possessing inconceivable virtues. These three words in order are for forbearance and wisdom, etc., and for knowing the mastery of all-knowing. Why is that? Because, in this way, he can overcome all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas.
