The three greatnesses, and having the fruit of being without fabrication and without separation, meaning complete. That itself is having the fruit of abiding in bliss in the present dharma, thus there are four kinds, this is another saying. Thorough meditation is through meditation, that is, completely taming the body. Meditation is certainly taming the discipline. Meditation is removing the harm of the mind. Meditation is what makes wisdom stable. Abiding in truth means being in accordance with the first dhyana, because that is completely separated from desire and so on. Abiding in detachment means being in accordance with the second dhyana, because that is detachment from discrimination and so on. Abiding in cessation means being in accordance with the third dhyana, because whatever is detachment from joy is cessation there. Thorough abandonment and complete transformation means being in accordance with the fourth dhyana and the formless, because how is it that without abandoning existence, the clear awareness that precedes abandonment is thorough abandonment. Furthermore, completely destroying latent tendencies is solitude. Being free from all arising is detachment. Completely cutting off all connections is cessation. Completely abandoning all grasping is thorough abandonment. Also, the Abhidharma masters say that solitude is being separate from the realm. Detachment is being detached from the desire of affliction. Cessation is ceasing karma. Thorough abandonment is abandoning all things, all these words are expressing nirvana. Furthermore, it should be understood that the antidote to the four kinds of conceptualization of the apprehended and the apprehender, that is, the four paths of seeing, are the four words such as abiding in solitude in order. Among them, the antidote to the first conceptualization of the apprehended is solitude, because through it, from the aspect of purification, all aspects of affliction are abandoned, so it is solitude. The antidote to the second conceptualization of the apprehended is detachment, because through it, from the desire for virtuous dharmas, it is detachment itself. The first antidote to the apprehender

That is cessation, therefore it can stop all attachments to self, freedom, etc., meaning the word of abandonment. The antidote to the second kind of conceptualization of attachment is the elimination of distinctions, therefore it can truly understand the various reasons for establishing aggregates etc. as self, and eliminate them. The object and the source of power are the place. Eliminating distinctions is abandoning. Complete transformation is ultimate and thorough. Faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, and wisdom are the faculties because of their ability to dominate. They themselves are the powers because of their invincible meaning. Mindfulness and dharma discrimination, diligence, joy, tranquility, samadhi, and equanimity are the limbs of perfect enlightenment because of the meaning of the limbs of the path of seeing. Right view, thought, speech, the limit of action, livelihood, diligence, mindfulness, right samadhi, are the eightfold noble path because of the meaning of going to the city of nirvana. Emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness are the doors of liberation because of the meaning of summarizing the four noble truths. Suffering, origin, cessation, path, exhaustion, non-arising, dharma, following awareness, conventional, extremely familiar, knowledge of words as they are, are the knowledges because of the meaning of pervading all that is to be known. One should fully know what is not fully known, and the faculties of fully knowing and protecting fully knowing, are because of the meaning of summarizing the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the path of no more learning. Samadhi with investigation and analysis, samadhi with only analysis without investigation, and samadhi without investigation and without analysis, are because of the meaning of being able to transcend the limbs. Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, discipline, generosity, gods, renunciation, death, the appearance of the body, breathing, and mindfulness of the elements are the basis of the antidote.
