It is the great nature itself. This great nature is these three, therefore it is reasonable that this must start from the proof of arising. Blessed One, the so-called Mahayana, Mahayana, refers to conquering the world with gods, humans, and asuras and appearing. The elder Subhuti showed the proof of arising, and for that showing, Subhuti, this is the Mahayana of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, thus with the six perfections, the Dharani gates, the Samadhi gates, all emptiness, the Dharma of the Bodhi's favorable qualities, and even the eighteen unshared Dharmas of the Buddha, as it should be done, promising that it is the Mahayana that will surely arise and begin. Subhuti, you have said such words, that the Mahayana is conquering the world with gods, humans, and asuras and appearing. Subhuti, if the desire realm is such, not mistaken is such, not other is such, not inverted is such, true is such, correct is such, as it is is such, constant is such, stable is such, firm is such, an unchanging Dharma-natured thing, if it is not a non-existent thing, then this Mahayana will not conquer the world with gods, humans, and asuras and appear, that is what is said. For this, in the manner of both the object and the subject, are the first, fourth, and seventh sentences. The definite showing of the first and second are two words, and then again in the manner of those three themselves, are three words. Thus, for the unchanging Dharma-nature that must arise in the equality of those objects and so on themselves, know that it is eleven words. For what reason, Subhuti, the so-called desire realm is imputed, because of the ignorance of not truly universally knowing. The so-called accomplishment is because of the formations that become its cause. The so-called showing is because of craving, grasping, and existence.

Because it arises from power, this Mahayana will surely emerge by subduing the worlds of gods, humans, asuras, etc., with its power. What is the reason? Mahayana is merely a renowned name in the world, possessing the fruit of truly realizing its meaning. Because clinging to it is bondage. Otherwise, practicing Mahayana as an antidote would become meaningless. Likewise, the form and formless realms, as well as the aggregates, etc., and the Dharma realm, and the Dharma realm, and the true limits, and from the perfections, etc., up to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, the stated negation of existence and non-existence is the definitive emergence of Mahayana. It should also be acknowledged in later (texts). Regarding the aspect of definitive emergence through abandonment, what is said is: from the Dharma of the lineage ground, to the Dharma of the eighth ground, up to the Dharmas of the Buddhas, and from the individual of the lineage ground, to the perfectly enlightened Buddha, and the world with gods, humans, and asuras is real, it should be combined as before. Regarding the aspect of definitive emergence through conceptualization, what is said is: from the moment of first generating the mind, until sitting under the Bodhi tree, whatever countless mind generations arise, those are like ink, and the vajra-like wisdom is as before, and the abandonment of all afflictions connected with habitual tendencies, and the attainment of omniscience, is the definitive emergence of Mahayana, and the thirty-two marks of a great being are as before, the world with gods, humans, and asuras is beautiful, subdued by the splendor and glory of the Buddha, and the light of the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly enlightened Buddha is as before, the Buddha fills realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges with the expansion of his own body's light, and the sixty qualities of speech are also as before, the Buddha in each of the ten directions, immeasurable and countless world realms.

Therefore, it is through speech that understanding is brought about. The speech that possesses sixty branches is the speech of the Buddha. What are they? They are as follows: Because it shows the roots of virtue in the realm of sentient beings, it is an antidote. Because it touches upon happiness in the nature of visible phenomena, it is subduing. Because of its excellent meaning, it is pleasing. Because of its beautiful letters, it is agreeable. Because it is obtained from the unsurpassed result that transcends the world, it is pure. Because it is free from all the habitual tendencies of the afflictions, it is immaculate. Because the words and letters are exceedingly numerous, it is exceedingly clear. Because it possesses the power and qualities to completely destroy the views of all evil-minded non-Buddhists, it is melodious and pleasing. Because it is endowed with definite arising through practice, it is worthy of being heard. Because it cannot be overcome by all opposing adversaries, it is steadfast. Because it makes everyone happy, it is pleasing. Because it is an antidote to desire and so forth, it is gentle. Because all the established trainings are peaceful, it is not harsh. Because it correctly shows the means of definite arising beyond that, it is not violent. Because it teaches the discipline of all three vehicles, it is exceedingly gentle. Because it is an antidote to distraction, it is pleasing to the ear. Because it generates samadhi, it satisfies the body. Because it generates great joy through higher vision, it satisfies the mind. Because it cuts off doubt, it gladdens the heart. Because it eliminates wrong and uncertain views, it generates joy and happiness. Because there is no regret in practice, it is completely without torment. Because it is the basis for the perfection of knowledge arising from hearing, it should be known by all. Because it is the basis for the perfection of knowledge arising from thinking, it should be thoroughly considered. Because the teacher teaches the Dharma without concealing any examples, it is exceedingly clear. Because it makes those who have attained their own benefit happy, it is pleasing. Because it should make those who have not attained their own benefit happy, it should be made manifestly joyful. Because it correctly teaches inconceivable Dharmas, it makes everyone know.
