First, the chapter on Adhimukti (Superior Understanding) in terms of Omniscience. First, the chapter on Adhimukti (Superior Understanding) in terms of Omniscience. Explanation of Generating Bodhicitta. From now on, regarding whatever special aspects of meaning, whatever forms of various distinctions of phenomena, whatever has been taught, only the order of summarizing them will be discussed. Among them, first of all, the generation of Bodhicitta is for the sake of others' benefit, desiring perfect and complete enlightenment. However, if asked, what is this "desire"? Because of desiring this and desiring that, Bodhisattvas should strive in the Prajnaparamita, as it is said in the Sutra. What is its characteristic? If one does not know what that meaning is, then this is considered to be pursued in the Twenty-Five Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra. Therefore, at the time of generating Bodhicitta, Bodhisattvas will pursue in this way: How can I realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and accomplish the benefit of others? If so, then this will not become Bodhicitta, because the mind has the characteristic of distinguishing each object, and "pursuing" is a kind of craving. If one says so, that is indeed true, but if there is the nature of aspiration for virtuous Dharma, that is, pursuit, then one will generate Bodhicitta for the sake of attaining Buddhahood, therefore, here the cause shows the effect. In this way, all virtuous Dharmas of aspiration and pursuit will increase accordingly. Alternatively, "pursuit" is aspiration. The stage of generating Bodhicitta is mainly focused on pursuit, therefore, for those Bodhicittas that are practiced together, pursuit is shown. Even so, Bodhisattvas will become Bodhicittas with aspiration, which is reasonable. So, what are perfect and complete enlightenment and the benefit of others? That and that, as it is said in the Sutra, are narrated through concise and extensive ways. The so-called "that" is perfect and complete enlightenment, and the so-called "that" is the benefit of others. Among them, its concise exposition is:

Therefore, Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva wishes to manifestly awaken to all dharmas in all aspects, he should strive in the perfection of wisdom. This is what was said. The detailed explanation of that is: Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwells in the perfection of wisdom in a non-abiding manner, he should perfect the perfection of generosity in a manner of non-abandonment, because he does not fixate on the giver, the giving, and the receiver. This is what was said, and so on. The condensed explanation of that in terms of the benefit of others is this: A Bodhisattva Mahasattva, in each of the ten directions, in worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, wishes to lead all sentient beings there into the realm of nirvana without remainder, should train in the perfection of wisdom. This is what was said. The detailed explanation of that is this: Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas should train in the perfection of wisdom in order to make stingy sentient beings practice generosity, and to make those who violate morality uphold morality. This is what was said. Having spoken of the characteristics of generating the mind [of enlightenment], together with its object and purpose, now, in terms of its twenty-two kinds of distinctions, the characteristics of its divisions are made. That is: earth, gold, moon, fire, treasure and source of jewels, ocean, vajra, mountain, medicine, spiritual friend, wish-fulfilling jewel, sun, song, king, treasury and great path, vehicle, adorned water, pleasant sound, river, and clouds, are the twenty-two kinds. This is what was said. Among them, the first mind generation of the Bodhisattvas, which is endowed with aspiration, is like the earth. Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva wishes to manifestly awaken to all dharmas in all aspects, he should strive in the perfection of wisdom. This is what was said, wishing to manifestly awaken to all dharmas in all aspects is the Buddha.

It is because it is the basis for all dharmas and their arising. Second, having intention is like fine gold. Shariputra, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the Prajnaparamita in the manner of non-abiding, because he does not focus on giving, giving away, and receiving. He perfects the Paramita of Giving in the manner of non-giving, and so on, until he perfects the Prajnaparamita because he does not focus on all dharmas. What is said here is that the intention of benefit and happiness included in the six perfections abides until perfect enlightenment, so it is intention, and therefore it does not rely on change in the future and here. Third, having superior intention is like the waxing moon. He abides in the Prajnaparamita and should meditate on the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and so on, until he should meditate on the nine impure perceptions, and should meditate on the eight great man's thoughts, and should meditate on the eighteen unshared Buddha dharmas. What is said here is called superior intention because the intention is superior that all virtuous dharmas will increase. Fourth, having effort is like fire. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva who wishes to cross over by seeing with the knowledge and vision of all knowledge, who wishes to abide in the irreversible ground, who wishes to perfect the knowledge of the path, and who wishes to attain all kinds of knowledge, should learn the Prajnaparamita. What is said here is that the effort of the three omnisciences is a supreme effort, and because it is an extremely supreme effort, it is like fire with the difference of firewood, and it becomes more and more superior from above. Fifth, having the Paramita of Giving is like a great treasure. Wishing to settle stingy sentient beings in giving, and suppressing the giving of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas with the power of one arising Bodhicitta.
