The paths I meditate on, know that all of these have been shown in the position of instructions. Then, this is an instruction on the Perfection of Wisdom for the great Bodhisattva, this is the subsequent teaching. Thus it is said. The instructions have been spoken. Explaining what is in accordance with the part of ascertainment. When explaining the things that are in accordance with the part of ascertainment. If someone asks, what is there to explain in these? Answer: There are four differences to be explained, namely the differences compared to the Hearers and others: the difference of the object, the difference of the aspect, the difference of the cause, and the difference of the upholding. The conceptions of the grasped and the grasper that will be explained, and the four kinds of conceptions to be abandoned by the path of seeing, as well as the conceptions and the true increase, are also to be explained. What is in accordance with the part of ascertainment, and what conceptions are to be transformed in what way? If someone asks, should the differences of small, medium, and large among these also be explained separately? Therefore, these two verses are placed nearby: The object and also the aspect, the cause and the upholding, the Bodhisattva protector, the nature of heat and so on as it is, possessing the four conceptions, the small, medium, and large ones, are superior to the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and those with training. That is how it is. Thus, from hearing, thinking, and meditating in conjunction with the combination of instructions and subsequent teachings, from the qualities of purity and so on, the excellent roots of virtue in accordance with the part of liberation are obtained, from which arises the root of virtue in accordance with the part of ascertainment, called the heat stage, because it is the nature of being the preliminary of the non-conceptual fire, therefore it is similar to the heat stage, hence it is the heat stage. From that is the peak stage. From that is the forbearance stage. From that is the supreme worldly dharma. Because the heat stage is taken as small, the difference of the object is that it is focused on the aspects of the four noble truths such as impermanence. The difference of the aspect is that the truth of suffering and the origin is characterized by not clinging to appearances and so on. This

In the Sutra, Shariputra, the great Bodhisattva's form is impermanent, form is suffering, form is emptiness, form is selfless, and again form is emptiness, attachment to form without aspiration, especially abiding, completely knowing, this is Shariputra, the great Bodhisattva's attachment to the agreeable Dharma becomes a fault, etc. This is temporarily the difference between the object and aspect belonging to the truth of suffering. The difference between the object and aspect belonging to the truth of origin is, similarly, saying "this form should be abandoned," thereby clinging to "form should be abandoned," etc. Therefore, in the truth of suffering and the truth of origin, impermanence etc. are taken as objects, and non-attachment etc. are taken as aspects. What is to be said? The Shravakas take the characteristics of form etc. as objects, and impermanence etc. as aspects, because they are the antidote to the ego-grasping. The Bodhisattvas take the characteristics of impermanence etc. as objects, and non-attachment etc. to them as aspects, because they are the antidote to the Dharma-grasping. Here, non-sign is not mentioned because it is intended to speak of the two truths from the perspective of entering. Non-sign is the aspect of cessation and the path in the Great Vehicle, that is, "what is non-sign, and by what path is the sign of discrimination eliminated," etc. What is said to be non-sign by the aspects of peace is related to the characteristics of reality and is the aspect of the Shravaka path, therefore there is no contradiction with it. What is meant by "the aspect is non-attachment etc."? This needs to be examined. If only non-attachment is non-attachment, then because it does not exist, it is not reasonable to be an antidote. But if it is not attachment, then it would become the eye etc., which would be too much.
