It is merely named as... That which is the imputed dharma, for it, merely names and terms are used to designate conventions, other than that, there is no arising or ceasing, and so on. For suffering, knowing the Dharma is, for the so-called imputed dharma, not understanding that merely names and terms are used to designate conventions, there is no arising or ceasing, and so on. For suffering, the forbearance of subsequent knowing is, Subhuti! When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, he does not truly see that form is permanent or impermanent, and so on, nor does he truly see samsara or nirvana. For suffering, subsequent knowing is, why is that? Subhuti! For example, that Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not discriminate or extremely discriminate all those dharmas, and so on. For origin, the forbearance of knowing the Dharma is, he extremely understands the nature of Dharma by practicing Prajnaparamita, the so-called nature of Dharma, it will not be completely defiled, nor will it be completely purified. For origin, knowing the Dharma is, he understands that the Dharma arising from names and terms is imputed, therefore he will not be attached to form. He will not be attached to feeling, etc. For origin, the forbearance of subsequent knowing is, he will not be attached to generosity paramita. Also for morality paramita... and so on, he will not be attached to skillful means. Why is that? Because, for example, what is attached to, or what is attached to by what, or the dharmas that are attached to, those are not existent. For origin, subsequent knowing is, practicing in that way, increasing in that way with generosity paramita... and so on, one will truly enter into the faultlessness of a Bodhisattva. For cessation, the forbearance of knowing the Dharma is, practicing in that way

As it is said, it means that he will abide in the irreversible stage. It should be understood that it is the eighth stage of a Bodhisattva. One who knows the Dharma in cessation, a great Bodhisattva who practices in this way, will perfect all the superknowledges. As it is said, it means that he will make offerings to those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, go to those places, and hear the Dharma from them. In the forbearance of subsequent knowledge in cessation, Subhuti, what do you think? Is that which is called a Bodhisattva, do you think form is a Bodhisattva? Or is something other than form a Bodhisattva? Do you think a Bodhisattva has form? Or is there a Bodhisattva in form? Do you think formlessness is a Bodhisattva? As it is said and so on, because it does not take from other terms, it prevents form and so on from being the entity of a Bodhisattva. In the subsequent knowledge in cessation, Subhuti, what do you think? Do you think that the Suchness of form is a Bodhisattva? Or is something other than the Suchness of form a Bodhisattva? As it is said and so on as before. In the forbearance of knowing the Dharma in the path, Subhuti, what do you think? Is this so-called Bodhisattva, do you think this is a nominal term for form? Similarly, is form permanent, or impermanent, is form happiness, or is form suffering, and so on, until the so-called Bodhisattva, do you think this is a nominal term for the wish-fulfilling nature of form and the non-wish-fulfilling nature of form? As it is said and so on. In knowing the Dharma in the path, Subhuti, one does not truly see the Dharmadhatu with the Dharma, and one does not truly see the Dharma with the Dharmadhatu, as it is said. Among them, the first is the Dharma of practice, which is the path. The second is the Dharma of the result, which is Nirvana. These two also prevent seeing each other, because their nature is inanimate. In the forbearance of subsequent knowledge in the path, Subhuti, one does not truly see the Dharmadhatu with the realm of form.

Oṃ. The realm of phenomena does not truly see the realm of form. Similarly, from the realm of feeling and the realm of phenomena to the realm of consciousness and the realms of phenomena, and from the realm of the eye and the realm of phenomena to the realm of the mind and the realms of phenomena, whatever is said to mutually prevent seeing, that is the meaning. The former is intended to express a brief summary of practice, while the latter is a separate explanation. Following knowledge on the path means that, Subhuti, the nature of the conditioned realm does not truly see the nature of the unconditioned realm. The realm of unconditioned phenomena does not truly see the nature of the conditioned realm, this is what is said. In this way, the realms of conditioned and unconditioned, which are said to be samsara and nirvana, mutually prevent seeing each other. This is following knowledge on the path, showing that samsara and nirvana are realms of equality. The instructions on the path of seeing have been explained. Now, focusing on the instructions on the path of meditation, Subhuti, without the conditioned realm, one cannot posit the unconditioned realm. Without the unconditioned realm, one cannot posit the conditioned realm. This is what is said. Among them, the conditioned is the path, and the unconditioned is abandonment. Because these two cannot be established as mutually different, the establishment of the path of meditation is merely imputed and not intrinsic, because it shows that just as one is manifestly attached to what is seen, there is no difference in things. Having done that, what is the practice of Prajnaparamita? It is the aspect of non-objectification; what is the object? It is the Four Noble Truths; what is the basis? It is the Three Jewels; especially, what is the cause of going? It is non-attachment; what is the cause of irreversible going? It is complete non-weariness; what is the cause of not being turned by other vehicles? It is complete adherence to the path; what is the cause of going without relying on other conditions? It is the five eyes; what is the cause of perfecting all-knowingness? It is the six superknowledges; what is the cause of ultimate practice? It is what is seen.
