Therefore, for the time being, sentient beings are observed in four ways. Observation of the Dharma is done in one way, which is "completely following," that is, by completely following the various Dharmas of practitioners in the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm, and observing those things that are considered sentient beings. The so-called "extreme practice" is because it has become extremely habitual. Absence of object is due to two reasons: The so-called "emptiness of the realm of worldly phenomena" refers to focusing on the characteristics of the world with the absence of self of phenomena as the main thing. The so-called "edge of the realm of space" means that there is no edge, so it is without object. So, what will the mind with loving-kindness and so on do? Therefore, it is said in the sutra, "Spreading everywhere and approaching, thereby abiding," which means that through the superior intention of all sentient beings, it spreads and attains Bodhi. The so-called "having" should be understood as having multiple meanings, because it is infinite for sentient beings and other things. The so-called "long" is like "lotus." The so-called "approaching and abiding" means that by approaching and correctly abandoning that wisdom, thereby abandoning the harm to it, this is the meaning of "approaching." The meaning of the realms is just like this. Compassion and so on should also be declared in this way. Regarding the entry without object: Venerable Shariputra, in addition, the great vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, even if he knows the internal and so on up to emptiness, it is not in the way of an object, starting from there, the wisdom of the mind not being distracted from all Dharmas and abiding equally, and the wisdom not arising towards permanence, happiness, self, tranquility, non-emptiness, characteristics, wishes, and reversals, and the reversals of the three times, the three realms, the mundane, the contaminated, and the conditioned phenomena.
