, as well as the cause of ultimate practice, namely the path of seeing and the path of cultivation, all of which should be understood as having been shown in the position of pith instructions. Then, this is the instruction on the Perfection of Wisdom for the great Bodhisattva, this is the subsequent teaching. Thus it is said. The pith instructions have been spoken. Explanation of the part that agrees with the aspect of ascertainment. Now, let us speak of the parts that naturally agree with the aspect of ascertainment. If someone asks, what is there to speak about in these? Answer: Four differences from the Hearers and so on are to be spoken, namely the difference of object, the difference of aspect, the difference of cause, and the difference of complete holding. The conceptualizations of grasping and holding that will be explained, and the four conceptualizations to be abandoned on the path of seeing, as well as conceptualization and true higher wisdom, also need to be spoken about. If someone asks, in which aspects that agree with the aspect of ascertainment, which conceptualizations need to be distinguished, and do the distinctions of small, medium, and large among these also need to be spoken about separately? Therefore, these two verses are placed nearby: Object and aspect, cause and complete holding, the Bodhisattva protector, the nature of heat and so on as it is, the four conceptualizations possessed and relied upon, the small, medium, and large ones, are superior to the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and those with vows. Thus it is. Like this, through the familiarization of hearing and thinking combined with pith instructions and subsequent teachings, from the qualities of purity and so on, having obtained the excellent root of virtue that agrees with the aspect of liberation, from this arises the root of virtue that agrees with the aspect of ascertainment, called the heat stage. Because it is the nature of being the preliminary of the fire of non-conceptualization, it is similar to the heat stage, therefore it is the heat stage. From that is the peak stage. From that is the forbearance stage. From that is the supreme worldly dharma. Because the heat stage is made into the aspect of smallness, the difference of object is that it is focused on the impermanence and so on of the four noble truths. The difference of aspect is that the truths of suffering and origin have not manifested

Because it has aspects such as attachment. The sutra says: Shariputra, the great Bodhisattva's form is impermanent, form is suffering, form is emptiness, form is selfless, and again form is emptiness, manifesting attachment to formlessness, especially abiding, fully knowing, this is Shariputra, the great Bodhisattva is attached to the corresponding Dharma, it is a fault, etc. This is temporarily the difference between the object and aspect belonging to the truth of suffering. The difference between the object and aspect belonging to the truth of origin is, similarly, this form should be abandoned, thereby manifesting attachment to abandoning form, etc. Therefore, on the truth of suffering and the truth of origin, impermanence, etc., are taken as objects, and non-attachment, etc., are taken as aspects. If someone asks what to say, then the Shravakas take things as objects with the characteristics of form, etc., and impermanence, etc., will change, because it is the antidote to the view of self. Bodhisattvas take things as objects with the characteristics of impermanence, etc., and take non-attachment, etc., to it as aspects, because it is the antidote to the view of Dharma. Here, not mentioning the absence of characteristics is because it is intended to speak of the two truths from the aspect of entering. The absence of characteristics is the aspect of the cessation and path truths of the Mahayana, because it is explained by what is without characteristics and by what path to eliminate the characteristics of discrimination. Saying that there is no characteristic with the aspects of peace is related to the characteristics of things, and is based on the aspect of the Shravaka path, so there is no contradiction with it. What is said is that the aspect is non-attachment, etc., which should be examined. If temporarily only non-attachment is non-attachment, then because there is none, it is not reasonable to be an antidote. However, what is not attachment?
