This nature of the body, for the sake of enjoying the Mahayana, is regarded as the complete enjoyment body of the Able One. Thus it is said, this body, together with the Buddhas, Bhagavad, great Bodhisattvas, and others who have entered the great earth, without any hindrance, experiences the joy and happiness of the enjoyment of the Dharma of the Great Vehicle. The thirty-two marks of a great man are: hands and feet marked with wheels, full heels; fingers and toes connected by webs; hands and feet soft and with the color of youth; this body has seven elevated parts; long fingers, wide heels, tall and upright body; invisible ankles, hair growing upwards; calves like those of an antelope, long and beautiful arms; hidden genitals; golden body, thin skin; one hair growing from each pore, turning to the right; face adorned with a white hair, upper body like a lion; The head of this arm is round, the shoulders are full; even unpleasant tastes appear as the best tastes; the body is like a banyan tree, the water surface is wide; adorned with a crown, the tongue is long and beautiful; Brahma's voice, cheeks like a lion, teeth; extremely white, teeth even and close; the number is forty complete; eyes like blue lotuses, excellent eyelashes. These are the thirty-two marks. Thus it is said. Among them, hands and feet marked with wheels, refers to the fact that the palms of the hands and feet of the Tathagata all have the mark of a thousand-spoked wheel, with outlines and hubs, all forms are complete, like being carved on bone or ivory. The two soles of the feet are placed flat on the ground, and the feet do not tilt, so the feet are extremely stable. Like a king of faith, the fingers and toes are connected by webs, so the hands and feet are connected by webs. The palms of the hands and feet are as soft as cotton petals, and have the color of youth, so the hands and feet are youthful and soft. The commentary on this is: What is the cause for the accomplishment of any characteristic? Because of its completeness, this characteristic is truly accomplished. These characteristics of the Enjoyment Body should also be known to be accomplished from the complete practice of past training. Furthermore, what is the cause of the past training for which characteristic? Such as welcoming and sending off the guru, as well as properly upholding steadfastness, practicing the four means of gathering, giving abundant things, liberating those who are killed, properly upholding and increasing virtuous deeds, etc., are the characteristics of the cause of accomplishment, as stated in the sutras. As stated in the sutras: Welcoming the gurus, sending them off, listening to the Dharma, offering garlands of flowers, going to monasteries and stupas, giving servants for service, therefore possessing the wheel marks on the hands and feet, this is a sign of having a very large retinue. Because of being extremely steadfast in the deity, the feet are very stable, this is a sign that others cannot shake one's realization of the Dharma. Because of practicing the four means of gathering, the fingers and toes are connected by webs, this is a sign of quickly gathering beings who have not been gathered. Because of giving abundant food, drink, licking substances, and chewing substances, the hands and feet are soft and lustrous, and the heels are high, these two are signs of obtaining abundant food, drink, licking substances, and chewing substances.
