Thirty-seven, and entering into the samadhi of the three doors of liberation, but not attaining its fruit, in order to exhaust the limbs, he practices the nature of things that are in accordance with sentient beings, as it is said. The so-called possessing exhausted limbs means that for whatever dhyana or samadhi, whatever limbs it has, one strives to abandon them, which is a synonym. For example, the first dhyana has five limbs, and so on. Saying that the limbs are exhausted and possessed is to know that subsequent knowledge is the antidote to form and formlessness. The so-called holding the nature of things that are in accordance with means that in the stage of subsequent knowledge of suffering, the Bodhisattva abandons the attainment of freedom from desire. In the Dharma-kshanti of the origin: Again, the great Bodhisattva is in accordance with the Bodhi mind, and not separated from the Bodhi mind, by observing and eliminating the conceptual thoughts to be abandoned by seeing, thereby generating lightness of body and mind, so he does not indulge in the body, and even widely prohibits the arising of Buddha-view and roots of virtue. Why is that? Because all dharmas are equal to space, without the nature of things, and empty by their own characteristics. When contemplating in this way, all actions are performed with a mind free from confusion. In the Dharma-jnana of the origin: Staying at home, but skillfully showing the merits of the five desires, and giving many foods and other necessities, thereby abiding in the perfection of giving, and also exhorting others, praising their merits, and pleasing them accordingly. In the Anvaya-kshanti of the origin: Always practicing celibacy, and not causing harm that makes others unhappy. Always practicing celibacy means that this person abandons the lust of sexual desire, and does not harm

Arising, it shows that this lineage is moistened by tranquility, starting from Jambudvipa, up to the three thousand great thousand worlds, filled with seven treasures and given as offerings, following the reasoning of Vajrapani, what is said is that it is not trampled by demons and so on. Knowing after the arising of accumulation is for the sake of attaining a non-distracted mind, and for the sake of not extinguishing the incomplete faculties such as faith, obtaining mastery over not forgetting the mind of enlightenment, becoming a supreme man. And the mantra that makes women controlled, and reason, and medicine, and grass, etc., and not engaging in acts such as inducing women and men to commit adultery, why is that? Because one does not dwell on seeing all dharmas as characteristics, and abides by a completely pure livelihood. Thus it is said. Among them, The characteristic of the aggregation of limbs is medicine. The single limb is grass. Also, medicine is in the sense of healing diseases that have arisen. The antidote for what has not arisen is grass. Also, obtaining a suitable state of body is medicine. Obtaining the difference of what is unsuitable is grass, this is another name. For inferior ones, knowing forbearance in the Dharma is: Subhuti, this Bodhisattva Mahasattva, when practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, is inseparable from the intention of enlightenment. Starting from this, the determination of combining and following the combination with the aggregates, realms, and sources is cut off, therefore it is known that it is the meaning of eliminating from the Shravakas and so on. Having spoken of combination and following combination, therefore, for the truth of suffering and the truth of the origin of accumulation, and the truth of cessation and the truth of the path, combining and following combination in the order as it is, is the meaning of knowing before and after. Why is that? Because like this, dwelling in the nature of the deceased, therefore he does not truly see any Dharma as superior and most excellent, and the language is proclaimed by the reason of knowing upside down. Knowing the Dharma in extinction is, by combining and following combination with the cause of realization and the qualities of purification and the words of obstacles, it is
