Sixteen also. Bodhisattva's non-retrogression, know that it is its characteristic. Thus it is said. What are the sixteen? For example, the forbearance of knowing the Dharma in suffering is non-retrogressive because it is a return from the perception of form, etc. Why is that? It is like this, the non-retrogressive Bodhisattva Mahasattva enters the faultlessness of the Bodhisattva because all dharmas are empty of their own nature. He does not see that Dharma, so he does not manifest and create, so he does not arise, he is the non-retrogressive Bodhisattva Mahasattva, who has forbearance in non-arising. Thus, the return from perception and manifestation is said to be the reason for the characteristic of non-retrogression. Also, in knowing the Dharma in suffering, the demon comes near, stopping the aspiration, the omniscient nature is equal to the sky, the nature of non-existence, the nature is empty, from this beginning, because the perceiver, the perception, and the perceived are not found, the desire for the following Dharma is stopped, because it can be understood, with the practice of truly taking the firmness of mind, immovability, and non-seizure, it is said with the meaning of not losing what is to be done. Among them, the firmness of mind is because Binbiya is not spoken. Immovability is because of direct seeing. Non-seizure is because it is not the object of others. The forbearance of knowing suffering accordingly is said to be the steadfast Bodhisattva who relies on both non-retrogression and cessation, with the cessation and non-retrogression of the purification of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas and the omniscient nature. Among them, when entering the truth, what is the return, and when not entering the truth, what is the entry, those are applied here as return or non-return, but merely cessation or non-destruction is not. In the third moment, by separating from the following knowledge, there is a possibility of falling into the Hearers and other places, because it is the nature of entering the antidote to the three realms. In knowing suffering accordingly.

Understanding is also done by empowering the Bodhisattva who delights in abandoning what has excess and is complete, gradually abiding in the nine successive absorptions, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and the samadhi of the three doors of liberation, not abiding in entering into samadhi and obtaining its fruit, in order to exhaust the limbs, and holding the nature of things that are in accordance with sentient beings, as it is said. What is called having exhausted limbs is a synonym for diligently abandoning whatever limbs are present in any meditation or absorption. For example, the first meditation has five limbs, and so on. Saying that the limbs are exhausted and possessed is to know that subsequent knowledge is the antidote to form and formlessness. What is meant by holding the nature of things in accordance is that in the stage of subsequent knowledge of suffering, the Bodhisattva abandons the attainment of detachment from desire. In the Dharma-patience of the origin, again, the great Bodhisattva has the Bodhi mind and is endowed with it. Not being separated from the mind of enlightenment, by examining the conceptualizations to be abandoned by sight, by eliminating them, one generates lightness of body and mind, therefore one does not focus on form, from not focusing on the view of the Buddha and generating roots of virtue, there is extensive prohibition. Why is that? Because, like this, all its dharmas are equal to space, the nature of non-things, empty by their own characteristics, such is the reason. When contemplating in this way, in all activities, one acts with a mind free from confusion, as it is said. In the Dharma of the origin, even if one dwells in a house, one skillfully shows the five objects of desire, and by giving many and various resources such as food, one abides in the perfection of giving oneself, and also by correctly encouraging, praising its virtues and complying with it, one makes it happy, as it is said. In the subsequent knowledge-patience of the origin, it is always pure.
