It solely narrates the order of collecting those teachings that demonstrate the particularity of any object, the detailed classification of any aspect, and any dharma that is shown. It solely narrates the order of collecting those teachings that demonstrate the particularity of any object, the detailed classification of any aspect, and any dharma that is shown. For those who delight in extensiveness, it is shown by dividing it into eight topics. First: The chapter of Rabjor, concerning the mastery of the All-Knowingness itself. Explanation of Generating the Mind [of Enlightenment]. From now on, it will solely narrate the order of collecting those teachings that demonstrate the particularity of any object, the detailed classification of any aspect, and any dharma that is shown. Therefore, firstly, generating the mind [of enlightenment] is for the sake of others. [One] desires perfect and complete enlightenment. If [someone asks]: What is this called "desire"? This is what is said in the sutra: "With this desire and that desire, the Bodhisattva should strive in the Perfection of Wisdom." If one does not know what its characteristic is, and asks what that meaning is, then, as it is said in this very Twenty-five Thousand [Verse Perfection of Wisdom Sutra], it is to strive for the meaning. That is, at the time of generating the mind [of enlightenment], the Bodhisattva strives to ensure that he will manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment, and accomplish the benefit of others. If so, then that would not be generating the mind [of enlightenment], because the mind has the characteristic of knowing each object separately, and what is called striving is craving. Although that is true, if there is striving with the characteristic of longing for virtuous dharmas, then one generates the mind for the sake of Buddhahood itself, so here the cause is shown by the result. Thus, all the virtuous dharmas of longing and striving will increase accordingly. Alternatively, striving is aspiration. The occasion of generating the mind [of enlightenment] is when striving is the most important, so striving is shown in the generating of the mind [of enlightenment] that is practiced together with these. Thus, it is reasonable that Bodhisattvas will have the generating of the mind [of enlightenment] that is endowed with aspiration. Perfect and complete enlightenment and the benefit of others.

So what is that? That is, as stated in the sutra: It is expressed in terms of brevity and extensiveness. "That" refers to perfect and complete enlightenment, and "that" refers to the benefit of others. Among them, the concise explanation of "that" is as follows: Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva wishes to manifestly awaken to all dharmas in all ways, he should strive in the Prajnaparamita. This is what was said. Among them, the extensive explanation of "that" is as follows: Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the Prajnaparamita in a non-abiding manner, he should perfect the Paramita of generosity in a manner of non-abandonment, because he does not fixate on the giving, the object of giving, and the receiver. This is what was said, and so on. Among them, the concise explanation of benefiting others is as follows: Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, in each of the ten directions, in world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, if they wish to lead all sentient beings into the realm of nirvana without remainder, they should train in the Prajnaparamita. This is what was said. Among them, the extensive explanation of "that" is as follows: For sentient beings who are miserly, give generosity; for those who violate morality, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas should train in the Prajnaparamita, wishing to establish them in morality. This is what was said. Thus, the nature of generating the mind [of enlightenment] is spoken of, including the object and the purpose. Now, concerning its nature of various distinctions, making twenty-two divisions: That is, earth, gold, moon, fire, treasure and source of jewels, ocean, vajra, mountain, medicine, spiritual friend, wish-fulfilling jewel, sun, song, king, treasury and great road, vehicle, adorned water, sound, attendance, river, and clouds, these are the twenty-two aspects. This is what was said. Among them, the initial mind generation of Bodhisattvas is endowed with aspiration, like the earth. Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva
