All those dharmas, such as the aggregates of form, the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, up to the unmixed Buddha-dharmas, and the realm of nirvana, are neither possessed nor not possessed. They are formless, invisible, unimpeded, and thus without characteristics, being of a single characteristic. As it is said in the enumeration of the arising of understanding, in accordance with the Prajnaparamita, the Mahayana is taught, and the practice of the Prajnaparamita is included within the Mahayana, meaning that it is to know the attainment of permanence. Why is that? From the Mahayana and the Prajnaparamita, etc., up to all dharmas, there is no duality and no possibility of duality. With the enumeration of attainment, the Mahayana is taught in accordance with it. Therefore, the definite arising of attainment should be known as having the characteristic of negating three meanings. The negation of the three aspects is as follows: the negation of what is to be attained, the negation of the attainer, and the negation of the relationship between the two. Venerable Subhuti, why is it that a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has no object of focus at the prior limit? Why is it said that a Bodhisattva is all-pervasive because form is all-pervasive? Why is it said that there is no such thing as form being a Bodhisattva? Thus, why is it said that if I do not truly see all Bodhisattvas in all ways, in all aspects, then to which Bodhisattva and to which Prajnaparamita should I exhort and instruct? Why is it said that the name Bodhisattva is merely a name? Why is it said, 'What is that form that is not manifest? That which is not manifest is not form.' Should one exhort and instruct the Prajnaparamita that is not manifest with that which is not manifest? Thus, apart from that which is not manifest, there is no Bodhisattva-Mahasattva.

It is said, "There is no object to be specified." Why is this said? Because it is said like saying, "If it is shown in this way," and so on. In this regard, the first question starts from what must be shown, taking the negation of what is to be obtained as a premise. Because of the absence of sentient beings, emptiness, solitude, and selflessness, the attainment promised by the Bodhisattva in the past, future, and present is negated, which is to make one understand that there is nothing to be attained in the three times. Similarly, from the aggregates and so on, to the perfections, and the dharmas that are conducive to enlightenment, up to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, because of absence, emptiness, solitude, selflessness, and in the past, etc., the attainment promised by the Bodhisattva is negated. Why is that? Because for absence and so on, the past, etc., are not specified. Absence and so on, and the perfections and so on, are not promised under other names. As it is said in the sutra, "Emptiness is not other, the perfection of giving is not other," and so on. Similarly, it should also be said for samadhi, the doors of dharani, the realm of dharma, suchness, and the ultimate reality. Furthermore, for the noble ones such as the Shravakas, the attainment promised by the Bodhisattva in absence and so on, and the past, etc., is negated. Why is that? Because from absence onwards, up to the Buddha, all of these are non-dual, and cannot be divided. This is how it is said. What is said with the negation of the obtainer as a premise is, starting from "form is universally infinite," from the aggregates of form and so on, up to the unshared qualities of the Buddha, the past, etc., are not specified. Why is that? Because it is emptiness. Starting from "form is not a Bodhisattva," it is said that there is neither existence nor specification. Why is that? Because from form and so on to the Tathagata, they are emptied by emptiness.

It is taught from "If a Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not perceive all things in all ways, in all aspects," and from the aggregates such as form, etc., up to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, and up to not perceiving the Buddha as the Buddha itself. Among them, "in all ways" means all the characteristics of things such as aggregates. "All things" means the collection of aggregates, etc., and the Bodhisattva of individual nature. "In all aspects" means the various differences such as inner emptiness. "Again, all things" means the collection of aspects and the individual characteristics of each. This "all things" is actually twofold: the "all things" of things and the "all things" of aspects. To negate the relationship between what is to be obtained and the obtainer, it is said: That is, the so-called Bodhisattva is a name that is suddenly established, starting from here, all dharmas are only names, therefore they are non-existent and cannot be perceived, so the apparent establishment is negated, and it is only an acceptance of nomenclature, and those that are extremely not apparently established. Among them, the meaning of suddenness is the meaning of imputation established on the meaning that is not its own nature. Although it is said "I, I," but I am ultimately not apparently established, so is what is said as "all dharmas." Furthermore, by negating the nature of all dharmas arising from combination, therefore it is the nature of non-things. The impermanence of all dharmas is separated from anything, so it is non-existent. Likewise, their goodness and non-goodness, etc., are separated from anything, so it is between non-self-nature. In addition, all dharmas are not the nature of being constantly abiding and decaying. Why? Because its nature is like that. Also, all dharmas negate apparent establishment because they are not manifestly fabricated. Why? Because the manifest fabricator is not perceptible. Because all dharmas are empty by nature, they negate the change other than birth, cessation, and abiding, and the nature of non-apparent establishment. Perfection of Wisdom
